  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So I have life group every Thursday nights where we discuss the sermon from the previous Sunday. I'm listening to the sermon now. It's actually about sleep. The reason I'm listening to it now is that I overslept church on Sunday...

Did some reading on this Bitcoin bubble that's expected to burst. I found the price history and did the math.

If I saved up US $1,000 and bought as many bitcoins as possible in Summer 2010 at $0.06 a piece and then sold them all on November 26, 2013 when they were at $979.45 a piece, I could have made $16,324,166.66. I could have been a self made millionaire three years after graduating high school.

Talk about a missed opportunity.

Yeah, but don't beat yourself up. Hardly anyone gets that lucky, that's a pretty specific right place right time kind of scenario, it seems to me.

Most investing and business ventures are. With every get-rich-quick scheme, there's always a degree of risk to it. The Bible tells us to avoid these kinds of unnecessary risks because for every winner in the money making game, there are millions of losers in his/her wake.

If God ever allowed me to relive my life knowing what I know now, I'm definitely going to make a mental note of this, that's for sure.

I owned like 3 bitcoins when they were around 400 would be worth 29k now. So brutal. A lot of people predicted this would be a big year for bitcoin and they were right. I wish I did not know this information

Sitting in the medical marijuana dispensary waiting for my mother to come out with her 'real' medicine. I'm so thankful this is finally legal and people can get the medicine they need for their cancer and painful conditions. I'm going to apply myself soon and see if I can get approved for it for my chronic back pain and severe PMS symptoms.
