Turkey was so good. Pleased I managed to have a turkey leg again this year.
They got the three worst people in the world to voice their main characters?
Yeah, that sounds frustrating. Work should never consume your life. I guess you just to need hang in there till you get hired somewhere else or move.Well, of course they don't actually say "or else". It's just that every time they say we're working on these days (and often at the last minute, as I have mentioned before), they sound completely unapologetic, and ward you away from protesting. Like it should just be expected. Just kind of has that "or else" vibe. :/
And again, also like we have (or should have) no life beyond work, so it's never inconvenient to us.
.... Honestly, why am I still here at this place? Keep asking myself that. And the only answer I can come up with is "always need more money", because even with God's generous gift of my grandfather's inheritance, it would disappear all too quickly if I just quit. It'd be gone in a year at the absolute most, more likely six months with the costs of moving that I will incur. And, I guess, there's always that tiny spark in every man's soul that just drives him to keep working, even when the occupation basically sucks.
Happy Thanksgiving!I survived my 5:45AM-2:15PM shift today now for some sleep as it's 5:45A-7:45P and 11:30A-6P tomorrow .
Nonsense being small kids?
The best part about holidays is napping after you eat the large meal. The multiple dinners would cut into that very important nap timeHaha. Not how I meant it. Lol. I mean, shout-out especially to those with small kids who have to do two Thanksgivings in one day.

Excellent point. See, everyone? Science.
And here I am complaining about my place of employment ....
You've got my sympathy. O_O
Was it "Everybody Poops"? That one gets me every time.It happened again.
I'm trying to teach my kids about kindness and friendship. It's that time of year when they could use a reminder if you know what I'm sayin'.
So I found a few books and have been reading to them in the mornings and then we discuss afterwards. Today I cried AGAIN. Darn book! So freaking sad. Half of my students were near tears. So it was just me, crying trying to say something but choking up each time.
THIS IS WHAT CARING DOES!

Reading the plot summary of 'The Velveteen Rabbit' puts tears in my eyes every time.
Oh my goodness. True story! That story is beyond touching. Just a bawling snot fest.
Thing is, I never even read the book itself, just the plot summary and how my my mother described it to me for the first time. I'd hate to bring up my troubles again, but this book's plot really spoke to me in a psychological way. The rabbit wants to be loved so he can be considered a real rabbit amongst all other creatures. His chances were dubious at best but he managed to achieve that. I kind of see it as an allegory of an outcast who hears about and accepts Jesus for the first time and devotes his time and resources to find Heaven so he can be loved and never be alone again. God ends up loving him despite the outcast's flaws and ends up in Heaven in his glorified body.
After getting emotional from this book and from the movie, The Green Mile, I think the best stories are the ones we can see ourselves in and relate to the most since our motivations, goals, values, and struggles are similar if not the same as the characters we are rooting for in their own struggles to accomplish what they're trying to achieve.
What in the world. Just the pic of the tree's face makes want to cry and then laugh. I'm so confused inside.
