I hate this apt. I should be getting ready for bed..... am I ? NO, they shut off the water...... no clothes washing, no shower, no shaving.
Wow Miss Spaulding's thread has stayed at the top of the list as most viewed for two days now
Your apartment does that a lot, too? Shutting off the water?
Not to mention I move in and everything breaks. This place is too expensive to be the pile of crap place that it is. I gotta look for new apartments before my lease is up (still a ways to go) Im not getting stuck here again cause my lease ending crept up on me.
Perhaps Miss Spaulding is very topic-genic ... or something.
Ugh. I'm in the campus computer lab taking a quiz and some guy who smells like a TON of cologne just sat down across from me... I'm not kidding, this guy had deodorant for breakfast.
I wish I could move to some other place where I can breathe, but the quiz I'm taking can only be accessed once...
Hey, i say get out of there before you lose track of the lease end date, too. As much as I like my place right now overall, it does seem a bit too pricey at 720 a month for them to shut off the water for something every few months, and for the toilet to occasionally scream loudly a demon from the bathroom in the middle of the night.
If I had the money Id seriously pay out my lease and walk away into a new place, but I am under lease (2-3 months in to a year, it was the shortest term) This place gets more than 720 and yet they still cant pull their heads out of their butts long enough to actually FIX whatever it is that they keep shutting the water off for.
When I moved in here, one of the pipes from the shower burst..... did they come in and fix it right? NOPE, just clamped it and called it a day. They didnt even get here fast, it took them an hour to get here...... so water is pouring out a light fixture for an hour.
When I report it to the office they say "Just don't turn on the light"......Really?! Nah, I was gonna keep the light on and stick paperclips in light sockets til you got here.
When the AC went out, did they fix it in a timely fashion? Nope, they say.... "Oh, just flip the circuit breaker when it pops" (Circuit breakers pop for a reason) til we get you a replacement unit we ordered one.
After constantly harping on them and about 2 seconds away from murdering someone..... they finally order one, a month or two later.
I try to be a patient man and understand these peoples hands may be tied in what they can do...... but they are about to see a very angry bull seeing red that doesnt care about tied hands or red tape.
Everyone has their breaking point and being unable to shower or be clean is mine.
Isn't there someone you could report them to? I had a friend who had similar problems and then mice showed up...she reported them, though I don't know to who, and they got their butts in gear.
I suppose that works just as well. Hopefully that will light a fire under their butts. Apartments like that are horrible. They just take your money and sit back. My heat went out one winter (it was one of the coldest winters in years) and it took the place I lived being ousted publicly before they fixed it. We went without heat for 2 weeks! They were all about appearances though so as soon as it was all over their website it was fixed within a few hours.I could report them, but, Im not the only one in this complex. If I am the only one it wont do much good. So, I spend my time getting in their face instead. This one-two months to fix stuff is over.... as I said, I am patient..... but not any more. This place has used up all the kindness and patience I have stored up for "inconveniences". Now I become, fix it now or..... find out just how much of a problem I CAN become if my water isn't on shortly.

You should ask him "Hey, is that Old Spice you're wearing?"
That should sufficiently terrify him to reconsider his cologne.
*curls up on her bed*
I am exhausted.
Wow, man, that's crazy. I can understand why you'd be fed up like this with your landlords by now.
