I have heard about this too. I think the North Koreans are crazy enough to do it. Their country is falling apart and they got nothing to lose anymore.

Just keep your eyes on Christ. Why look at others and compare their lives to your own? When your God's child he has plans for you that go beyond any envy of anyone else. If you're serving God with all you can give, he will reward you for doing so. God holds to his promises.
I know my life doesn't look how I perceive success and other things to be. But I do know I serve Christ with all my strength and that I'm a saved child of God.
If God is for us, how can we be against ourselves? And why compare?

Just because one would like to doesnt mean they have the ability to. N. Korea is like the purse dog. It makes a lot of noise but..... meh. As long as you don't allow it to become some huge monster of a dog..... in its current state the last I saw they couldnt even get their missiles to launch without failure. That says to me they are far more likely to nuke themselves out of existence rather than the whole world.

Im not saying we dont watch them or take them as a serious threat if given the capability......... but there are bigger things to worry over than North Korea. North Korea is a splinter in our finger, but China, Russia etc. are more like a gun shot wound. North Koreas biggest threat (unless they get backing from China or Russia) to the US or Canada is to simply be annoying.

Of course maybe something has changed, I stopped watching the news cause its all lies and misinformation or simply what celeb is sleeping with what other celeb trash.

But I think its more important to know that God is in control more than any ego driven North Korean leader with a Napoleon complex.

I dont know maybe Im just more relaxed because "Oh certain nuclear destruction is coming" is nothing new to me what with growing up in the 80s.

That was when it was the USSR making the threats and they actually knew what they were getting themselves into. North Korea, on the other hand, has a lunatic running a giant insane asylum and is making the threats. I think they are crazy enough to do it.

But like you said, God is in control but it's still an unsettling thought. I'd rather not wait for Jesus's return in a post-apocalyptic near future.

They may have a lunatic in control.... but then so does the US (and really it didn't matter how the election went we had crazy and evil covered)

If the end is near, it just means no more drama.

We can't control what N.Korea does...... so worrying over "what might" happen only robs us of the time we have left if something DOES happen........ or.... if nothing happens.... it would be an unnecessary worry that robbed us of joy for no reason.

Whatever happens, I got a 1L bottle of coke in my fridge. In case of war, I'm going to break my 65+ day pop free streak and drink.

gj on quitting the pop... I really need to quit diet, for my teeth's sake. I've cut down at least.

The clock struck 3 past 2. The mouses on the floor were starting to clutter the floor. The dog watched in amusement and the cat watched in anger. Just before the cat was ready to pounce into the sea of mouses Bob the owner barged through the door. "You ate all of my cheetos you stupid dog!" "I've had enough of your antics, you're getting the belt!" The owner cleverly revealed that he was hiding a belt behind his back the whole time. "Come on boy, you're gonna wish you were never born." The dog started growling and lunged at the owner and jumped on his face, trying to chew it off. The owner screamed "arrrghhhhh!"

Blood spewed everywhere, and the camera panned to the window still as screams were heard in the background. Outside of the window the sun was rising and a mother bird was feeding some worms to her offspring.

The cat finally decided to pounce into the sea of mouses down on the floor. He jumped in and sank under the mouses, never to be seen again.

The rain was pouring..

"Step forward dog." said the man in the shadows.

The dog stepped forward, semi-frightened but trying his best to portray himself as someone brave.

"You are sentenced to die for the murder of our friend Bob." "Do you have any last words"? Said the man in the shadows who finally stepped forward and reviled himself to be the executioner.

"Ruff, ruff RUFF RUFF RUFF!" Barked the dog.

"Don't make a mockery of the justice system." "Speak with intelligible words!"

"RUFF RUFF RUFF RUFF RUFF!" Barked the dog.

"That's it, you're gonna get it!" Said the executioner in great annoyance.

He pulled the lever and the dog violent falls down the chute with a rope around his neck.

"rUFF rrr... ruff... rrrr.. ruuu-". The dog made while hanging from the rope.

The warden walks in.. "What are you doing!"

"I'm executing this dog, he murdered our good friend Bob."

The Warden gives a confused look at the executioner, then glances at the dog still hanging and makes the same facial expression.

"If the papers ask about this, tell them we executed a human." "I have no idea why you're hanging a dog."

The executioner did just that. Only to end with more questions than answers. The papers wondered who this human was, and were even more perplexed when they were never given an answer. The executioner even simply labeled the tombstone "human".

More puzzling looks came when weeks later a grave robber dug up the coffin and opened the lid "what the?!"
