The question of him still being in the industry is doubtful. The man committed suicide or was murdered.
In either case he either wasnt happy (which spurs on change if it doesn't kill you) or he was murdered and in which case the "suicide note" was not a suicide note but was in fact a letter to the fans to quit music (on the big stage) as so many "he was murdered" advocates claim.
So either way I see very little likelyhood that Kurt would still be in the spotlight (He never liked it anyway)
