It's good to reflect like that. I hope you have more enriching times in the days ahead.

I'm a little obsessed with the song "Love, Reign O'er Me" right now*, which I'm sure you can tell by looking at my username. The Who version (the original) is amazing. The Pearl Jam one is good, too, but not quite amazing. There is just something about a song that seems to take all of your breath, lung power, emotions, and energy to sing. And I enjoy looking like a big weirdo lip syncing with my mouth looking like I'm screaming to the song. (this is nothing new, though. I used to do that when I was a pre-teen even and my brother would just watch me with an amused expression on his face.)

*I blame JennieAmber. It was her saying that she was going to watch Reign Over Me (which I suggested) that made me listen to youtube videos of the song.

ETA: Apparently listening (and lip syncing) to the song a few times made me still appreciate it, but lose the brief obsession. I'm still keeping it as my usertitle, though.

Running through my mind right now:

I wish I could open myself up more. And take the risk.

I never know if you're serious lol...

If you are... do you have close friends to do so?? We need to vent!! Praying for yah.

I'm trying to think of all of the (nice) nicknames (or wordplays) for "Shelly." On CF I've been called Shellster and Shell Bell. Co-workers always end up calling me Shel, although I had one that called me Shelinor (combo of my name and Eleanor). I'm having trouble thinking of much more. There's a reason for me trying to come up with Shelly-like names, but I'm not sharing.

I'm wondering what it would feel like to get in my car and just drive. No place to go, no map to follow and no time limit to constrain my adventures. What would that feel like? To just leave it all behind.

I've been listening to the song "Runaway" too much again.

I've never been a huge fan of my name, but I googled "Shelly nicknames" and some person said on Yahoo answers (in response to the OP asking if Shelly is a good name for a baby), "Very dated and a little trashy sounding." Trashy sounding? That's the most ridiculous nonsense. Though I will admit it's dated. I was named after my mother's childhood best friend and the name was a lot more popular when that best friend was first named Shelly.

There is a group for people named Shelley (it hurts me to misspell my name) on Facebook and a thread asking what pet names they get called and most are saying Shel or Shells or similar. One woman said her husband calls her "Alan." Oh, "Shelly (I'm changing the spelling because I must!) Bean" I like.

I'm starting to think this post would be better in the IJWTS thread, but I already started talking about my name previously in this thread, so here I will keep it.

I've thought about this way too many times.

I don't know what my problem is. I really do not know.

I wish someone would tell me... but in a really, really loving, honest and caring way. But bluntly. Make me go "aha" and not "wawah." I want to improve and be better at this whole living thing, but I just can't pinpoint the problem.

WhiteDove, It WILL get better the more you lean on Him. Can I trust you to do that?

Thank you (once more). I feel as though it has and God has already taken the burden on His shoulders with me. We had a bit of a "talk" and by talk, I mean I totally talked it out, cried it out and possibly got a little loud about it. But I will. I have to. I need the support.
