GalCiv2 will probably get best strategy game though.

I hope HoMM crashes and burns for using Starforce.

Edit: Looks like Ubi dumped StarForce, so HoMM is actually a contender!

Not at all. It's all about taste. Everyone gushed over Halo and I thought it was only ok. I played it and finished it but didn't like it enough to get Halo 2.

I have never played halo in single player, only co-op and multiplayer (not online). But with playing it with a buddy, and good game play, that is what has made it the best game i have ever played.Thanks for the nice reply
Btw, i havent realy benable to get into halo 2 myself, though ive tried to.

We're only 4 months in. The Rev and PS3 have yet to be released and you're already guessing at game of the year?

If Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out at the PS3 release date(which is, I believe, this November? Correct me if I'm wrong.), then that gets my vote. It's the main reason I'm choosing to get the PS3.

Probably something involving Mario, Yoshi, Kirby, or some other cute character. Or it could be a metroid game.

I will not know until later on this year.

Brain Age is very impressive.

Is Brain Age out in America yet?

I was watching a girl playing it on her DS on a Tokyo train a few weeks ago. It was quite possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen in a hand-held.

It was the thing that made me look at the DS and think, "Wow, the PSP is really overrated."

Nintendo rocks! If I were to buy a hand-held, I wouldn't even consider the PSP at this point. The DS just has too much going for it.


As far as the best game of 2006 is, I'd say Oblivion. Brain Age definitely deserves honerable mention though!
