so one day a man was at the doctor for a check up on his hearing. He was wondering about his wife and her hearing and if it was in good condition. So he tells the doctor about it.
The doctor replies " Go home and stand 30 away and say something to see if she can hear you. Remember to say it in a normal tone. Then if she doesn't hear you move 10 feet closer and try again. keep doing this until she does hear you."
So that night the man goes home and is in the living room while his wife is cooking dinner. So he tells himself that he is about 30 feet away. So he says " Honey, what is for dinner?" No answer.
He decides to move even closer this time. " Honey, what is for dinner?" No reply.
He moves just ten feet away and asks again " HONEY, what is for DINNER?"
Once again no answer. Finally he moves right next to her and askes her.
She turns to him and says " For the fourth time, TURKEY!"
