  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

To Jason:

You're going to hear of a whole slew of them, from Sacramental to Authority, to whose cow jumped over the moon first.

To ME, my unofficial, uneducated, unauthoritative opinion is THE REAL PRESENCE. Period. Lutherans and Episcopalians come close....but close only counts in hand grenades, bombs, and horseshoes, LOL.

The Real Presence.

The Real Presence.

Thank God, we have the Real Presence.

Amen.

Peace,
~VOW

If God is present, then there will be healing, miracles and people coming to a saving knowledge of the truth. So that they are walking free from all bondage. In other words, if you have apostlic authority, then you will have the signs, wonders & mighty deeds that go along with that authority.

2 Cor. 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.

Acts 2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

Acts 5:12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

How do you know there AREN'T healing, miracles and people coming to a saving knowledge of the truth coming from the "Real Presence?"

Could be, I talked to a pastor once and he said that in his church the same percentage of people gets healed as what are healed in the church I attend. The only difference about the ministry I am in is that is it a large ministry and people come from all over the world expecting a miracle or a healing. So the pastor will pray for two or three hundred people during a average healing service. Where in other churches there maybe only two or three people who are in need of a healing. Thanks, JohnR7

To John:

To a Catholic, "Real Presence" means the Eucharist, in which we believe that Jesus is truly with us, heart, soul, mind, body, divinity. The wine and the bread actually become the Body and Blood of our Savior. It's a miracle which occurs at every single Mass.

Thank you, Jesus!

Peace be with you,

Hm..my church experiences many miracles, through the Holy Spirit's ministry. In other words the gifts of the Spirit as mentioned in 1 Cor 12-14 is a reality in my church. And many times God's presence is known to us, it's just that it doesn't happen through communion.

I was thinking the biggest difference is authority (i.e. sola scriptura vs. sacred tradition and sacred scripture).

God bless!

So, every Catholic feels the "Real Presence" of God or Jesus, every time they take the Eucharist?
It's more than a feeling. Every time a Catholic receives the Eucharist, he is literally eating and drinking the actual, real, physical Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
