I think true repentance yields a change in action, and over time in attitude... and continues to grow and mature all of the time. Not sure if that makes sense.

HeHE I just taught about this!Baltimore Catechism to the rescue !1 (I'll elaborate more later - I have to reun to Adoration and Mass...)

For sorrow to be sincere it must be:
1. Sumpreme (hate sin more than anything)
2.Universal (sorry for ALL mortal sins)
3 Supernatural (sorry at least because of the eternal consequences -ie at least imperfect contrition)
4. Internal (must not just be a "show" of sorrow)

To me...
True repentance is desiring Gods' will above ones own will and turning away from all sin.

I don't think there is such a thing, as false repentance... for the very act of repentance is to love God above everything else. Everything we do in the name of Jesus is good.

True repentence must start with the proper understanding of who we are in respect to the one who created us. If we do not understand the infinite distance between God and man as a result of sin, we will have a hard time understanding the need for true repentence.
