  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If you were there in the garden when the Romans came to take him, what would you do? I've been torn on this before, and now I ask others. Would you defend Jesus? Remember that you would not have the advantage we do now, in knowing what was to come. Would you throw yourself between Jesus and the soldiers? Or would you stand aside as was Jesus will, and escape. I'm not sure I could be that strong, to simply turn and do as Jesus had instructed. I would so want to be taught by Him that I would wish to defend Him from such wickedness. I don't think I would have the strength to simply do as He said and remain away and alive. Perhaps I am no better than Peter, who then on his false courage, attacked with his sword, and snuck in to see Jesus, only to deny Him 3 times...what say you?
