See Matthew 19:28

Note, this isnt speaking of we the church, which is His body, but of the Nation Israel. We arent UNDER the program or authority of the twelve, but of the ONE apostle to the gentiles...Paul.:holy:
Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The twelve apostles have an earthly hope. They will be in the kingdom of heaven on earth.

The body of Christ has a heavenly hope and we are already seated in the heavenlies positionally.

Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Allow me add one more verse. "For we (members of the Body of Christ) know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building God, an house not made with hands eternal in the heavens" (2Cor.5:1).

God Bless.

Good job bb123, keep bringing us those verses for ephy.

Isn't it great, the disciples will be rewarded havings thrones near Jesus, I can hardly wait. And they get to Judge the 144,000 (12,000 from each of the twelve tribes).

Yep, the 144,000, Israel's tribes, mentioned in Johns Revelation just as in verse 21 where Jesus takes His throne in the new Jerusalem and declares "Now the dwelling place of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God."
All mankind, united with Christ, and He will wipe away our tears, I look forward to that so much!!!

The disciples arent REWARDED with thrones near Jesus. This is their earthly promise. YOU arent a part of that. YOURE promise is a heavenly one and has nothing to do with an earthly hope.

Israel=earthly promises and hope

Body of Christ=heavenly promises and hope

Well, since the disciples are seated near God for the judgement, and Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, does that mean we are not with them, because they are seated together. Do you really believe God will leave us seperated forever, seems like a big bother. Hey, I have an idea, maybe He could unite us in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 19:28 "And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

Acts 1:9 "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of thier sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Psalms 110:1 "The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand UNTIL I make thine enemies thy footstool."

Luke 21:27 "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

Looks to me like Jesus will return from heaven to establish His long promised kingdom upon David's throne (2Sam.7:13-16) upon the earth. The 12 disciples will then be sitting upon thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel, while I will be in heaven "...to ever be with the Lord" (1Thess.4:17) (see also 2Cor.5:1).

Nothing you have said here makes mention of a seperation or even indicates believers will be seperated by heaven and earth. God the Father, with The "Lamb", Jesus, the Son, on his right and we shall all bow and serve. The saints of old will have their special seats, and will Judge their own, on that day of righteous judgement. But as it says in Revelation "the water of Life" will flow from the throne of God and of the Lamb. and, in revelation 22:3 "...the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the City...". Together, United.

How can you say the Lamb, and the Father will be seperated, there is no scriptural evidence.

One of the posts said united forever... I agree.ALL ABOUT HIM. Lord of all ! United forever under the Lord Jesus Christ...all in all....but 2 different locations. If you don't see that God can unite people and have 2 realms, then you don't see God as being omnipresent or omnipotent. The issue is not HIS RULERSHIP OVER ALL..it's location, location, location. :)

I would ask do you think we all end up (that is Israel and the body of Christ) in the same place... which place? Heaven or earth? Why did He create 2 places as we're told in the very first verse of the Bible? Do Christians die and go to heaven and then when Christ comes back to set up his kingdom of heaven on earth... we all come back with Him leaving heaven empty? I know what I believe but I'm curious why people don't see the point or purpose for heaven AND earth.

SO are the 12 up in heaven and earth is empty? Is that where the kingdom will be? the body of Christ gets raptured to heaven with changed glorified celestial bodies and then comes back to earth leaving heaven empty?? what is it? Why 2 places? why 2 realms? God not only creates the heaven and earth one time but will re-create a new heaven and earth? Why?? to leave one sitting empty? Heaven is the big waiting room in the sky? What's the picture ? Empty earth, full heaven? Empty heaven, full earth?

I know what I believe but I do wonder what some of you believe since some think everyone is all in the same place at the same time. . :)

Amen to that. No one is arguing that Gods goal is to UNITE all things unto Himself...but the issue is WHERE? Will all be in heaven? NO. Will all be on the earth? NO.

I would ask ,do you think we all end up (that is Israel and the body of Christ) in the same place... which place?

Heaven or earth?

Nowhere does the Bible insinuate that we will all end up in the same destination! That assumption comes ONLY from NOT knowing what the Bible actually SAYS!

Why did He create 2 places as we're told in the very first verse of the Bible? (see Gen. 1:1)

Why indeed? Maybe because He is the rightful POSSESSOR of both of them BECAUSE HE CREATED THEM?;)

Do Christians die and go to heaven and then when Christ comes back to set up his kingdom of heaven on earth... we all come back with Him leaving heaven empty?

These questions are meant to motivate you to THINK....God created Heaven and Earth...He has the right to rule as He so chooses in BOTH realms. After ALL, He IS "the MOST HIGH GOD, POSSESSOR of HEAVEN and EARTH" according to the scriptures.

He will create a NEW heaven and earth....WHY both of them, if He has no plan to establish His rule and reign there? Think....think....

Scripture doesnt say that heaven will be left empty anywhere, but that is certainly what is taught in the majority of pulpits today!

Yep....it sure is....and its in ERROR!

I know what I believe but I'm curious why people don't see the point or purpose for heaven AND earth.

Scripture tells us what His purpose is, but many have not studied it nor do THEY know the BIG PICTURE...and thus are making evaluations based on insufficient data for an informed opinion.

Think.....

I know what I believe but I do wonder what some of you believe since some think everyone is all in the same place at the same time. . :)

Im also interested in how people justify these two places and the reasons for them.
