  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

the church I'm checking out right now is working through 1 Timothy and does... 2-3 verses a week. Today he preached on the last three verses of the third chapter. And it was actually quite indepth and convicting. He spoke a lot about the need for fellowship in the church and the importance of true face-to-face time with other Christians, and not allowing past bad experiences or stories I've heard keep me from that. Its something God has been speaking to me about alot lately so today was kind of an. "ok, God. I hear You!" moment :D

Today's sermon was from Luke 24, with reference to Mark 16 and Romans 12:1-2. It was about becoming hardened to the truth.

Prime example being how the Disciples were doubtful at first when Christ resurrected. They of all people never should have had any doubts after all the miracles they've witnessed, but by the third day their faith was weak. Very good sermon.

We had a Swedish pastor talking about the importance of Lent spiritually and why we have it. The language question was obviously difficult for some and the translation was not the best I've heard but I don't have lots of problems with Swedish so it was not such a huge deal for me... The content of it seemed all ok, but I would have preferred to hear just a little more.

I went to a new church yesterday and the sermon was AMAZING!! It was about salvation and not being afraid of what people thought. He said if we are affraid of our appearnce and affraid to love him then we will never be truly commited to him..Wow , its so true ! Then he asked to brake our comfort and if we needed to come to the alter to ask for him to come into our lives for anything . At first i just stood there affraid , but it was like a burst of energy i was at the alter on my knees ...Yupp great sermon
