Yep, there's going to be a Silent Hill movie. At least, if they've not changed their mind yet. It's supposed to be directed by the same guy that did "Brotherhood of the Wolf" and Team Silent is supposed to oversee the whole thing.

Not necessarily, sure Mario and Street fighter were bad but look at Resident Evil and Tomb Raider..they didn't do too bad. FF: The spirits within could've done better but I actually liked that. Not ALL game movies are bad..there are some good ones if they're made by those who know what they're doing.

Probably the Legacy of Kain series would make quite good movies and i also think that Command and Conquer : Firestorm would work very well for a movie.

Others would be Metal Gear Solid considering that the game itself is almost a movie, although they where talking about making a movie of this game. I also think that the Dino Crisis games could work well if done correctly.

Final Fantasy 7. IF they made it into several movies (i.e. three or four "episodes") If they tried to put it all into one movie, it would be horrible. It would be sacralige.

Metal Gear Solid. With characters from the games, but not a movie version of one of the games.

Hito, that does not count as they are already making a Final Fantasy movie off of seven, which is what I assume he was excluding (why anyone would exclude the spirits within is beyond me).

Einhänder would probably make a good movie, and seeing as how the game itself had a really basic plot, the movie makers could do practically whatever they want with it and still be true to the game. R-Type is also pretty much in the same boat.

I also think the Mega Man X or Zero series would translate well, but it'd have to be animated and not in the style that the Mega Man TV show was that ran in America about ten years ago (not to mention the Captain N: The Game Master cartoons) , and certainly not anything like the NT Warrior/Battle Network animation.

Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell 2 Pandora Tomorrow, and Halo of course. but if you into the Lord of the Rings and those type of things, then get Morrowind, Morrowind would be a cool movie but would be hard to do, due to the fact that it is a role playing game and doesnt have a particular beginning and deffinately doesnt have a particular ending.

I'm talking about a movie version of the FF7 plot. FF:AC takes place after FF7, so its separate.

I prefer to forget that Spirits Within ever happened. I'm sure squaresoft does too.
