Hello,

It seems that I have aquired a small collection of cheap quality Rosary beads, medals of saints and Crosses, prayer cards, mass cards, and other little things like that, mostly from religous mailings or relatives sending such things in the mail.

I already have a decent quality Rosaries already, and wear a medal around my neck that I like very much.

I suppose I could give these away, but these things are so poor in quality and easy to obtain few people would accept them. And I don't want to just toss them out.

I'm sure a lot of you are in simlar situations.

Any creative ideas for me?

Thanks,

Aldo

You could offer them to your church to hand out at Inquiry classes for those interested. If you have a 24 hour chapel area you can place them in there for use. There are several organizations that give away free rosaries, they may like them. You can offer them to nursing homes. You can place them in hospital waiting areas. You could place them in those plastic eggs for Easter egg hunts or give them to a local Catholic school. I actually quite like my cheap plastic beads. I'm not Catholic, yet - maybe one day, but those beads lead me to where I am now and brought me closer to Christ. I sobbed over the sorrowful mysteries and truly 'got it' for the first time because of those beads. They still work even if plastic and could do someone good. Even if I ever get a really nice rosary, I'll always keep that free plastic one. :)

Yep, as mentioned donate them to the Church.
OR you could give them to a child.

My children treasure these items.

Giving them th Inquiry  why didn't I ever think of that? That is an awesome idea. I have always just placed mine in an envelope and written "free" on it and left it in the Church.:)

Catholic residents in Nursing Homes, County Homes & Rescue Missions.

Please do not throw them out.

They mean the world to these people.

I'm serious on that one, btw. :)
LOL!

It's true.

I go out every week to the less fortunate & distribute them. :)

They cherish them.

Lel sent me some & they love them.
