Crazy guy, right? How can any one belive this guy is god? Its nuts right? These were all the thought that were going threw my head when watching this but then I relized somthing, how is this less crazy then beliving Jesus (a guy none us ever knew)was god? I relize that if I was around back then I could never belive him. I also could never understand this:Why on the cross dose he say Father why have you forsaken me? If he is god why is talking to him self?

I just want to add that I do not support this nut in the video you just watched. I know he is going against all the teachings of the bible and if god is real I know he is in big troubal. I just wanted to make a point.

People believed Jesus, because Jesus performed miracles to back up His claims. I doubt the YouTube fellow has.

As to the "forsaken" question - Jesus is God, but Jesus is not the Father. The Christian God is a Trinity, 3 separate persons, 1 God. Jesus was talking to the Father.

I agree with you about seeing Jesus as God when he walked the streets of Jerusalem -- I would have been the same way.

The Jews were already waiting for a Messiah, and had a preconcieved notion (that He didn't fit) and expectation based on many prophecies... so I think that's how His ministry was more acceptable then.

Even though Jesus performed a lot of miracles, much of his ministry was about discernment of truth and fairness, caring for others, and defending the oppressed. He didn't seem to spend much effort on the God issue... and all of His miracles were compassionate, not parlor tricks.

But this Miranda guy -- wow.

It's an interesting study in how people's lives are lifted... how they feel more secure when they lean on a dynamic leader, how people are basically generous and love to pour themselves into a cause... how people love to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Whether you would have believed in Christ had you lived when He walked the earth, is a question I cannot begin to address. I doubt you could honestly answer it from this age. Had you seen Him raise the dead, turn water into wine, feed thousands of people with a couple of fish and loaves of bread (and have baskets and baskets left over) would you believe in what he was preaching? Neither of us can answer that.

In response to your question about why Jesus cried, My God, why hast thou foresaken me?"

The answer is simple.

God cannot look upon evil and/or sin. When Jesus had taken upon Himself all the sins of the world, God could no longer look upon Him.

When Jesus had died, He had paid the price of all our sins and His blood washed away those sins and God could once more look upon Him.

If you read the old testament you will find that God said the price of sin was death and the only payment for commiting sin was BLOOD. In this case, it was the blood of Jesus, not some sacrificial lamb.

The answer to this question is very simple.. Because he is going against all the teachings in the Scripture...

And.. I bet he can't walk on water either.. or raise the dead...

God Bless

Although Jesus never said "I am God" in so many words, he did and said things that his culture said only God would do. Which is precisely why those who didn't believe him found his behaviour so threatening. But his actions and claims about himself are vindicated in his resurrection (and in other things).

This guy is saying "I am God". Jesus, instead, acted as God would act and it worked.

I also could never understand this:Why on the cross dose he say Father why have you forsaken me? If he is god why is talking to him self?
He isn't talking to himself, he is talking to the Father. And he is doing so in the way that any good Jew (or Christian raised in a tradition that takes such things seriously) would do in the moment of ultimate distress - by calling upon the psalms as a way of expressing that distress. (Psalm 22)
