Our physical body returns to the earth to wait for the resurrection. Our Spiritual body goes to Heaven to be with Jesus: "Absence from the body is presence with the Lord". 2cor5:8The body goes to sheol.
That's tradition. Something different might be found to be the truth. Our physical body returns to the earth to wait for the resurrection. Our Spiritual body goes to Heaven to be with Jesus: "Absence from the body is presence with the Lord".
I was trying to keep it short. According to the Apostles Creed He:Confusing...
I was quoting 2 Corinthians 5:7.That's tradition. Something different might be found to be the truth.
Where ?I was quoting 2 Corinthians 5:7.
What is Gematria? Every Hebrew letter has a numerical value.
Kabbalah and Hasidim are not occult at all. This is the sort of antisemitism that we saw back during WW2 & the Holocaust. When they had cartoon picture-grams in an attempt to make the Jewish people look evil. It was actually the anti Semitics that were into the occult.Gematria is used in occult practices as is numerology. Neither are biblical.

In 2 cor 5:8 we are told to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Are you reading something other then the KJV? Because this could be an example where the other translations try to confuse the issue.Where ?
I never heard that and when I run a google search this sort of association is non existent. I am amazed that you are on here trying to promote this sort of a myth.I am Jewish and Kabbalah is sorcery.

Yes I am free to believe the truth and go where the evidence takes me. The principal of my high school was a holocaust survivor. He was also my history teacher. He taught us how to be aware of what is going on around us because our life depends on that. Just like when I was in training for VietNam we were trained to be alert because our life depends on knowing what is going on around us. We were trained to always be on the look out for people trying to set traps for us.You are free to believe as you wish.
From Adam and Eve until the day Christ returns what percentage of people are actually saved? I know Jesus says in Matthew 7:13-14 that few people find salvation but just how few are they? Christianity has been the number one religion in the world for a long time now. True many "Christians" just write that they're Christian on a piece of paper and don't truly follow Christ. But just how much of the world exactly chose to follow God? 5%? 10%? Also many people in the world believe in Jesus and have accepted his free gift of salvation. So who among those are saved? All of them? If all of them are saved than why did Jesus make multiple statements of "very few will be saved." it just doesn't make sense.
Did the animal sacrifice actually take away sins?
Heb 10:1 For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins? 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
What is your question?
I believe we are to be 100% obedient.
A lot of obedience has to do with the life that we are now living. So we can live out our life and not die and early death. When people live to be 100 they must be doing something right in order to be able to live that long. But we just don't need to be obediant "in order to be saved"?
Yes, I should have given you the scripture reference. Usually when I do that when I quote the Bible. Eph2:8,9 "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast." Clearly we can not work for or earn our salvation. Although we are told that works is evidence that we are saved. This is why we receive rewards or crowns. Although when we consider all Jesus did for us - then we will want to throw our crowns at His feet as the Elders do. " They cast their crowns before the throne, saying: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things; by Your will they exist, and came to be.” (Rev4:11)
Eph 2 "8 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life."Also, what do you mean exactly by we don't have to serve God?
