No one is interested in this MMO? No one did the open beta? No one's waiting with baited breath for Tuesday?

I'm sending my boyfriend to pick up my copy tomorrow; we both pre-ordered, but i have class pretty late, and he's going out in the afternoon. If I sweet talk him, he might even install it for meGotta love nerd boyfriends.
Yeah, I did open beta and got tired of people saying "This is so unexcusable, I can't believe this lag... the servers are down," blah blah blah, gripe gripe gripe. I mean, it's a beta, and you're playing for free. By the end, the servers were pretty slick, imo. Loot lag did suck for awhile, but I think they got it straightened out.
I joined a fairly mature guild; most the members are at least a half a decade older than me, and they don't have too many requirements for membership, besides help out if you can, sort of thing.
I look forward to fishing; didn't do it in the beta because I thought it was a profession; ie, didn't get the difference between primary and secondary professions.
My character was a rogue NE; will probably recreate her, and pick up herbalism/alchemy again, and fish in the downtime. Homework? Bah, it gets done... sort of...

If I die what happens to my stuff?
And most important will it work with a dial up?
I know what you mean, but it still won't really crimp your lvling too much with the rest xp thing. Just camp all your characters out at an inn or in a city zone and you gain rest xp which basically moves a little slider up your xp bar while you are in that zone (camped out or logged in). Then when you start playing, all xp gained up to the slider is 200%. The slider will only go up to 1.5 lvls past the current xp lvl but still, it's better than grinding and falling farther and farther behind your friends.Ryder said:I only wish they'd charge by time played or something. If I get this game, I'll only be able to play on weekends, and not for too long at that. Seems like I'd be flushing money.
It looks like a great game though.

Well, if you're determined not to play other than trying to methodically get every point of free xp with perfect efficiency, then it would definately be a waste of time. However, the option to get a bit of a bonus while not logged in is helpful to the more casual gamers. Of course there is probably a formula that demonstrates that you actually lose xp for playing?Dracil said:That takes 10 days, and since 100% (or 50% depending on how you look at it) of the 200% is the actual kill percent, you're only getting 0.75 lvls worth of exp, AND you better not finish any quests in the meantime or it's wasted.
0.75 levels is really... not a lot, for 1.5 weeks of not playing.
