  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What news are we missing with the world so focused on this local and global crisis?

Well, for starters, President Trump just wrapped up enough delegates to ensure the GOP nomination. He was effectively running unopposed anyway but, still, it's a done deal now.

One thing I'm happy about is they don't take up at least half the bulletin raving on about sport!
Seriously though we as you know have had terrible fires, people are naturally still trying to recover, yet that has been pushed aside and its almost like it didn't happen.

It seems all mass media can handle (or want to) is one story at a time.

Frankly the media is obsessive. A useful tool in its place, but its agendas don't really describe abiding realities.

It was reported yesterday that Israel is one of seven or eight countries that already have a vaccine for the virus,
and Israel's is considered the best of them all, having no toxins in it.
