CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When someone I know is for real in Jesus smiles at me or gives me a hug or honors something that I have said or done right.
But there are people who can tone their voices to show me approval, and they can say I am so great even though I plainly tell them I need much more correction. I am more loved by getting real correction
And I suspect there are people who have been hurt by people who have been critical of them; so they are afraid of me saying I need to get much more real with God, because this can imply I am criticizing myself, and they fear this because of how they have been hurt by critical people.
But really being loved includes how God proves Himself by how He corrects us > Hebrews 12:4-11.
So, when certain people praise me, it can be I need to be suspicious of their flattering me in order to use me.
But I have people who appreciate me and they never try to use me; they make me feel loved

Hugs, little things that people do, when someone cooks/does chores, when someone takes the time to help me when seeking advice, when someone offers to help generally.
