Christians have been brainwashed with the doctrine of Biblical infallibilty since the council of Nicea. That is the brainwashing I am referring to.
The frustration I have is that you have to make excuses for it's inherent fallibility such as defining portions as literal, personify, metaphorical, etc. There is no need to makes these excuses if you just accept it's fallibilty.
The NT was written in koine greek which is just common greek. To say that it all must be taken literally and there are no figures of speech in it is just as perposterous as to say that common every day english that we speak has no figures of speech in it and everything we say is literal. I gave you a sound reason why 'god's face' has to be a personification. Beause God is a spirit, and spirits don't have flesh and bones according to scirpture, therefore, since a face is flesh, a spirit doesn't have a face. Therefore, the face of god has to be a personification. your rebutal was that you got infuriated cause i didn't interpret it literally like you do. and you presumed it was a contradiction, and I'm brainwashed and your not cause I don't believe like you do so therefore it is a contradiction, cause you ewhaddix presumed it was, so it must be right? It becomes a farce if you interpret the bible correctly and shnow htem there are no errors in the b ible. the only errors that exist are man made ones, and there are numerous ones of those in there. people, christians, who say 3 is one and 3 is one is no contradiction are the ones fueling the belief amongst non chritians that the bible is full of errors,.

the word of g od is god breathed. It didn't come by the will of man.

God's word is not false, and if it it was imperfect as you say, then it would be false. god doesn't lie, man does.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea,
let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
If you believe these scriptures and others then you must believe the word is inerrant, (before man mucked it up that is). IF the bible contadicts itself, then the bible or god's word is untrustworthy, cause you can never be sure that anything in it is true or not. your bible is like a model t you can't depend on it to get you across the country,and you can't depend on your bible to save you. My bible is far above and beyond the most reliable modern automobile in the world. you can depend on that automobile to get you across the country, and you can depend on gods' unfailing word to save you from eternal damnation by faith. without faith it is impossible to please god and without the word of god it is impossible to have faith, and how can you have faith in the word if you believe it is full of errors and unrealiable as you do? you can't.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. it's the word of God, not the word of Paul, or Peter, or Jerimiah, or Isaiah.
Im taking my stand on the word of god that cannot fail.
