LOL. Immaterialism doesn't even have a coherent theory of divine substance (much less omnipresence) - a fact which Dr. Michael Gleghorn found himself forced to contend with. That scholar found himself crying out for help!God's omnipresence disproves the claim that God is a physical being.

Sorry, you're wrong. No exaggeration. Jesus said that the truths of God are revealed mostly to little children instead of scholars (Mat 11:25). It takes a scholar to even begin to comprehend (the mostly incoherent) immaterialism. Whereas materialism is easy for little children to comprehend, even first-graders, as I demonstrated at posts 602 to 610 on the other thread.ROFL He is not crying out for help. What an exaggeration on your part!!!
(Sigh) Relevance? I never denied omnipresence. In my understanding, the (material) divine Word is more or less sparsely distributed throughout the universe, permeating all created objects and souls, whereby God literally has His hand on every particle of created matter, for two main purposes.omnipresence
I already gave some of the verses that prove omnipresence.
The Omnipresent God
Doctrine of God (Part 8): God’s Omnipresence | Reasonable Faith
Correct. God is our Creator. Relevance?God is not a creature.

2,000 years after Christ, this seminary scholar Dr. Michael Gleghorn STILL can't answer a simple question about divine substance. He doesn't even know where to look! He asked for recommendations on reading materials! As well as asking for the right answer! Sorry but that's definitely a cry for help. And that was published 10 years ago. Why hasn't he answered his own question? Evidently he STILL doesn't know the answer!!!!
You can continue to sugar-coat it if you want to, and I'm sure you will, but deep down we both know the truth. Meanwhile I'll stick with a simple materialism accessible to first-graders.
Correct. God is our Creator. Relevance?
You seem to develop more strawmen than almost anyone I've ever debated with.

(1) Monitoring all thoughts and events.
(2) Exerting forces such as gravity, magnetism, and electromagnetism (literally pushing with His own hand), thereby upholding the universe (all the stars) or, as Hebrews puts it, "sustaining all things by the [divine] Word of His power".
As I showed on the other thread, immaterialism has an incoherent theory of omnipresence contradicting Scripture.

(1) I said that God's hand is on every particle of matter. How is that not omnipresent? The other poster wrote somewhere,

Pope Theophilus of Alexandria (385 - 412 AD) also believed in the anthropomorphic view of God.
The question is not whether spirits are material or not. They very well could be. The question is whether God is omnipresent or not. This is what Mormons cannot assert bec they believe God the Father is corporeal."
He out and out refuted what you wrote there.
Now you are contradicting yourself. You now admit that God, as a spirit, could be a material being. Which means a material being, in your view, could indeed be omnipresent, contrary to what you said elsewhere. The question is not whether spirits are material or not. They very well could be.
Typical strawman. The point is that even scholars such as Dr. Michael Gleghorn can't make sense of immaterialism, hence his cry for help. Jesus said that the things of God are accessible to little children (Mat 11:25).It is an exaggeration by you. And, the Bible says Study to show yourself approved --- which includes scholars. If you knew anything about Judaism, You would know that Scholars are honored.
2 Timothy 2:15
Moffatt New Testament
Do your utmost to let God see that you at least are a sound workman, with no need to be ashamed of the way you handle the word of the Truth.
NET Bible
Make every effort to present yourself before God as a proven worker who does not need to be ashamed, teaching the message of truth accurately.
Lazy Students favorite verse
Ecclesiastes 12:12
But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body.
1 Peter 3:15
Easy-to-Read Version
15 But keep the Lord Christ holy in your hearts. Always be ready to answer everyone who asks you to explain about the hope you have.
No Scholars then no one who accurately translates the Bible into a language we understand.

(2) You keep asserting that God is omnipresent - but immaterialism has no coherent theory of either divine substance or divine omnipresence.

You're not making sense.
Commands articulated from afar don't push matter. He simply commands all matter to hold together. He would only need to know where everything is. This has to do with him being all knowing.

Endless strawmen. I didn't say that only children get insight.Your use of Mathew 11:25 is out of context concerning it being against scholars. It was unbelievers in the context that hidden things were not known to unbelievers. Jesus is not saying only children has things unveiled to them.
