christians understand the dietary laws.
I don't have to explain, we can read them together.
flip your Bible over to Lev 11.
this is one of the problem we christians have, we want to interpret God's words.
LH
answer me this if you believe you are born again
1Pt 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
are you incorruptible?
you are born from the process of man and woman like me, we are from the corruptible seed, we were born into the family of man corruptible.
it is written
Jn 9:34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
we are corruptible.
when did you become incorruptible?

Ozell, as you already know from past posts I am already familiar with Lev 11. I already admitted to eating pork.
Let's move forward. Now that I have already eaten pork, and have admitted to it.
Do we now consider it a sin to eat pork?
If in fact you consider it a sin, and there is no longer an animal sacrifice to clear my sin, what are my optons to clear my past sin?
Your statement of "one of the problems we Christians have, we want to interpret God's words". I don't think it is that we want to interpret them so much as the multiple interpretations there are.
Light hearted;54122106]Ozell when you read in acts when Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit, do you now consider him dead?
I only ask this for I do not believe it, but your comments and interpertations lead to believe this is what you believe since Paul was also born of an incorruptible seed.
Since the Bible leads me to believe that Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit as he lived, could we not say that he has an incorruptible Spiritual seed within him even as he lives here on earth?
Light hearted;54122061]In other posts you quoted verses that mentioned that God is a Spirit, we much worship by the Spirit.
If God's Spirit is not within you, how do you worship in the Spirit?
How do you worship him in spirit?
Jesus says we are born through the womb, we must now be born in the Spirit.
Yes, for us, mankind, we are born by a corruptible seed, man's seed.
We will be born corruptible, our bodies will decay do to our sinful nature.
When we look at Jesus, not born by man's seed, but by the Holy Spirit, an incorruptible seed, his body was not left here on earth, it rose through the clouds.
Jesus also had the Holy Spirit come upon him after being baptized, his Spirit is now also incorruptiple. He is now fleshly incorruptiple and Spiritually incorruptible.
We, born of man's seed are fleshly corruptiple, yet when born again we now have the incorruptible Spiritual seed within us.
This is the part of us that will rise at Jesus's return. We now have a perfect Spirit within us, of which leads us from the inside.
Thous the incorruptible seed that 1 Peter 1:23 is refering to.
Say as you may, as I mentioned in another post. It is God's chosing of whom will recieve the Holy Spirit. It is not obtained by working to earn it, for if it was, it would not be by Grace
You are only taking part of what Jesus said into consideration! You read "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets" and "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" But look closely; He says "I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." To FULFILL them. The law POINTS to Jesus Christ because we know we cannot be righteous to God on our own, for if we commit only ONE sin, we are not good enough. Jesus talks with the abscence of grace because... oh wait... grace hasn't been fulfilled yet! He hasn't died for the sins of mankind yet! The law shows us that we are sinful, and compltely un-righteous. But Christ, being the only righteous person to ever walk the planet, traded our sins for His righteousness. So when he says "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" He means that we can only enter heaven if we make the trade with Him, and accept his righteousness.
Now that you confessed your sin, and their is no animal sacrifce available
it is written that you repent of your sin to the Father in Jesus name.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
it only works if you are sure that eating pork on violating Jesus ditary laws are a sin? DO YOU?
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Now that you confess LH of your sins of eating abomnible things.
if you decide to continue since you confess that you are aware of the dietary laws, lets read what the Lord said he will do to people who eat perk and similar things like a mouse and pig.
I will be very direct to the point you read the rest of the chapter on your own.
Isa 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
who is this Lord that will come and consume those who eat adbomnible things as you do?
lets read a couple verse above to find out how thisLord will come.
15: For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16: For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
In Isaiah we are reading about the same Lord who comes with flame of fire to consume those who break his dietary laws.
Now lets have Paul clear it up remember the Lord said line upon line precept upon precept, here a little and their a little.
2Thes 1v7: And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8: In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10: When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
what is the Gospel LH? Genesis to Revelation,
what was the gospel when Jesus walked the earth LH? Genesis to Malachi.
lets read verse 8 again
8: In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
now go back and read Isaiah 66 again.
There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, HE makes it easy for us to grow up IN HIM. If Jesus doesn't teach you to be in agreement with all that is in the Law, that would be the false doctrin spoken of in Galatians 1:6-9. We are not denying Christ Jesus and this is the doctrin we all should hold to.
Hi Natalie, I looked into gal 1:6-9. I notice paul is pretty ruffled about Galations following Gospel other than the Gospel of Christ, or a perverted gospel of Christ.
Any idea what would be other than the "Gospel of Christ"?
I'm just looking for a personal opinion.
I appeal to people who are truly Christians to quit posting in this thread, because the delusion of this thread does pervert the Gospel of Christ. The ones here who want to tell us that justification comes from the works of the law, instead of the righteousness of Christ Jesus are laying a false foundation, so I don't understand why people continue to post in this thread of another gospel. There is no gospel, other than the grace of Christ; why continue to give the enemy a platform at the top of the non-denominational thread list, everyday?!?!?! It's obvious that after this long, those who would pervert the gospel of Christ, are not going to change their minds.
The law was the covenant between Israel and the Lord, though the law itself could only condemn sin since there is nothing in it to redeem people, the blood of bulls and whatnot only forshadowing the coming of God's own Lamb to take away the sins of the world (by those who believe in Him).
So to say, we've been saved to go back under law is to say, that the Kingdom of Heaven is to be subject to the laws of this world, which is simply not true.
God didn't set us free from sin to subject us to that which only serves to condemn it, by rather, we live by the Spirit of God in order that we should be seen as citizens of God's coming Kingdom, which is even now in His Spirit.
SoundCard;54142688]The problem with using Jesus' death as an excuse to start following the law is the fact that Jesus died to set us free from the law and in His Resurrection we are now citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Brother, I agree with you 100%. I think that the only reason why some still try from time to time is to expose false teaching with the truth from God's Word. This thread and others by the legalists are not non-denominational teachings at all and probably don't even belong in this area of the forum.

Galatians 1:6-9 (KJV) 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Colossians 2:13-17 KJV And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Romans 8:1-2 (KJV) 1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
This response has layed heavy on my heart since I read it and I am sorry but I just do not buy it. If we dismiss Jesus' telling us that he did not come to destroyed the law, because it was before HE was resurrected and since we are now all under grace, then why should we even listen to anything else Jesus tells us throughout the gospel? Including the greatest and second commands?
We are all called to be HOLY for HE is HOLY.
We are all called to be RIGHTEOUS for HE is RIGHTEOUS.
Matthew 5:10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
I am going to believe Jesus here and trade my wickedness for righteousness. For this to me is what is meant by bearing our own crosses and following HIM. This is what is meant by those who lose their life for HIS sake will gain life.
