Reformed Baptist falls under the category of other?
I voted before this got ironed out. I voted SBC(because I belong to an SBC church), but I am of the Calvinistic nature. Actually, my church is of the Calvinistic leaning. As we discussed on another thread, the founding SBC fathers were of the Calvinistic nature.

I truly fit in the "other" category. I am an independent Baptist who holds without compromise or apology to the Doctrines of Grace commonly called Calvinism. I am not Reformed or Dispensational but come close to the theology of John Gill, William Huntington and Don Fortner since he is my pastor. I was raised as a Primitive Baptist but reject the Hyper-Calvinism that is prevalent among them. I am a Baptist because I am convinced that historical Baptist thought and distinctives are as close to what is Scriptural as can be found in the present day. I believe that many, if not most, Baptists today have lost that which distinguished them from all others. My focus isn't on doctrine, as seems to be the norm among Reformed Baptists, or on eschatology, as is the norm among Dispensational groups, but on the person and work of Christ. He is all in all.

Unless I missed it which group do you belong to and why?
I am Calvinistic and Dispensational. Allthough dispensational, like you, I don't focus too much on end times. I focus on my Lord right now. The end will be worked out by Him.

The Baptist church I currently go to is conservative. I would also consider myself the same - conservative. The pastor has Calvinistic beliefs but they do not come through the preaching very often, mainly through talking to him. I myself find there are many verses in the Bible that support both Arminianism and Calvinism. So I do not lean one way or the other too far. I beleive there is so much more to Christianity than whether we hold to one man's doctrine or another's.

I voted Other. I am an independent fundamentalist Baptist. :)

I'm Independent King James Bible Believing Baptist also. I'm a Dispensationalist, but not Mid Acts. I'm not Calvinist nor Armenian.

2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

I attend a Soutern Baptist church, I do not identify myself as a "southern baptist" or even as a baptist. I am a Christian, and when I eventually go overseas as a missionary it is 95% certain that I will go with a non-denominational board.

And since some are throwing aspects of their theology out there I am a fundamentalist, evangelical, calvinistic, dispensationalist.

Basically if you are familiar with Dallas Theological Seminary, then think their theology, minus the cessation (I am not a cessationist), and with a more permissive view of our freedom in relation to alcohol. I am calvinistic but so also are many (though not all by any means) other DTS profs and students.
