CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Me too,I would love to be fearless
Last weekend, I was driving on the Interstate Highway near a city (I live in a small town and usually avoid cities), when a large truck to my right veered over the divider line and corrected at the last minute to avoid smashing into me. My wife was in the passenger seat, terrified. I slowed down to get away from the truck, and the car behind me runs right up to my bumper and continues to tailgate me. Slowing down left a gap in front of me, so somebody else shot into that gap. Now I've got 2 inches in front and 2 inches behind, I'm nearly hit by a truck, my wife is screaming, I'm holding the steering wheel in a death grip, trying to look everywhere at once to avoid being smashed by these loonies. . .
It was stressful.

There are ten votes on the poll, still not enough for an analysis for my (informal) study. Can you guys help me out and get your friends to take the poll? They can remain anonymous. I didn't vote in the poll because I didn't want to skew the results, but my biggest fear is one of the choices. A close second would be "driving in large cities".

Nobody picked death as their worst fear. That surprises me, so I picked it.
Somebody said that the number one fear is speaking in public and number two is death. I don't think that's true. The most common fear is the fear of spiders.

Do you want to talk about that? I have a thread about Hell in the Unorthodox Theology Section of CF.My biggest fear would me going to hell for eternity.
(I guess I should have had an eternity in hell as one of the options)

The forum owners consider my view to be unorthodox. According to the forum rules, I can't even discuss my view outside of "Unorthodox Theology". I'm for open discussion of different ideas, I think that's what a forum is for. I guess they are afraid of open discussion. The truth has nothing to fear.No, not really.
