• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
 • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi, I'm new to this forum, I write devotionals for our church bulletins, so that is why this is choppy. My writing process is still evolving and hopefully cultivate into a career. But here is one of many devotionals I've wrote. I write a ton of free writing about the human/spiritual condition that I might post here later.

What is your weakness? Why is it your weakness? Did you know that having a weakness is not a bad thing? Even though society wants to taunt someone who has a weakness or flaw, the Creator of the Universe sees it different. God can use weaknesses. Two great men in the Bible had weaknesses- Moses and Paul. Both men had speech impediments, causing them to be shy or even afraid to talk! Look what God did with these men! Moses led a whole civilization for years and was the person God gave the Ten Commandments to! Paul preached to hundreds of thousands of peoples in many countries! What made these men once shy and standoffish because of their infirmity, or weakness, stand up and be the voice for God? Faith and belief! Paul said “Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distress, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9,10. According to this our weakness can make us stronger by not letting it hinder us. Imagine where we would be if Moses or Paul let their infirmity or weakness hinder them or didn’t believe that God could use them. We all have some weakness in ourselves, whether physical, emotional, or even spiritual, that makes us afraid to do something. We can let God use our weakness and not let it hinder us or we can use our weakness as an excuse. With God anything is possible! Our weakness makes us who we are, if we can’t overcome it we have to find a way to live with it and let our weakness bring glory to God. To overcome a weakness or abide with it and let God use it, remember Paul’s words, “My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
