FF6 & so close behind that it's almost tied is Chrono Trigger.


I think Amano's art style was just perfect in FF6. Sometimes it just doesn't translate well (Sephiroth concept art in a sci fi setting for example). I love the intricate detail, the mood. Just everything about FF6.

Also, by & large I intensely dislike Toriyama's "artwork" but it really popped in Chrono Trigger. Just the sprites & scenery though, not the concept stuff. It's so bright, cheery & colorful in CT whereas his DBZ stuff all seems like it only uses the same 3-5 primary & secondary colors in the whole series.

Kingdom Hearts as a series is my absolute favorite game, from Square Enix and anyone else. Playing it as a child, it affected me more than any other game I had played back then, and inspired me to pursue a career in the videogame industry.
