I thought this could be an interesting opportunity for everyone involved to learn about some new music! Shall we begin?

What is your favorite band/singer/song and why?
{You can answer just one or all of them!}

I'll go first.

My favorite band is Red. I love their amazing combination of strings (cello, violin, etc.) in their songs. On top of that, their lyrics hold a really deep and personal meaning for me.

I really don't have a favorite singer currently.

My favorite song, I really have to say, it probably Boss Mode by Knife Party. It is simply another Knife Party masterpiece and I have to refrain from busting out in dance whenever I hear it!

That's mine! Let's see what other favorites there are!

Singer-Do you mean solo artist, or just any singer. Thom Yorke from Radiohead would be the pick in general, but if you want a solo artist Elvis Costello
Song-Kashmir by Led Zeppelin or John Coltrane's cover of My Favorite Things

With the exception of their album Release the Panic, I have yet to find a Red song I do not like. The lyrics flow nicely and usually have powerful meanings, something I struggle to find in modern music.

As for favorite bands or songs, I really can't choose. It depends on my mood, the instrumentals, the lyrics - or all three. Here are some examples of what I listen to.

- Red
- Switchfoot
- Coldplay
- Jonsi
- Clannad
- Enya
- Alexander Rybak
- Florence + The Machine

But if I have to choose a favorite song, I would say Piano Man by Billy Joel. I don't know why, but I love the story it tells.

Wow, this is a tough one and it is one that is always changing for me. There are several bands that are almost always in my rotation Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica (older stuff), and a few others.

However, I have really been digging Fear Factory lately. I've been a fan of theme since high school (around 1999), but I kind of lost track of them when they split up the first time 2002ish. My favorite albums were Demanufacture (their masterpiece work), Obsolete, and Digimortal.

I have recently gotten back into them and I'm really sad that I didn't keep following them. They are one of those few bands that are putting out music that is just as good and in some cases better than the music they made in their heyday.

So, to make a long story short lol:

Currently: Fear Factory

Favorite Song(s):

Older stuff: "Descent", "Replica", "Linchpin"
Newer stuff: "Powershifter", "The Industrialist", "Recharger"

Okay, so it was too hard to pick just one song.......I could list several more that I love by them, but I will leave it at that!
