Osel said:Life has two points. The first is procreation, the second is dying. Humans are no different than salmon, for example.
Except that we have a complex, coherent society, vastly greater intelligence and an awareness of our own mortality. Yep, practically the same thingOsel said:Humans are no different than salmon, for example.

Your purpose in life,is to know God.To love God,to worship God,and to walk with him.
In Christ you will find all of your purposes for living.God has a plan for you,and has a purpose for the life he has given to you.I have christmas lights in my window, and they are different colors. Each light has its purpose,to honor God this Christmas, and make my house beautifull too.
Unfortunatly my cat pulled them down,LOL,but I put them back up.
Bless you little one,Ill keep you in my prayers.

As far as dieing at the end of it.... Rest assured, everyone does it. Dieing is the one thing that "EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING". If your a believer in the Judeo-Christian God and you have had faith in the words of the Bible and have followed them, you're promised everlasting life in God's kingdom.
God bless
hmm that's great, but how do you knoe for sure?!Merlin said:Only the shell we call our 'body' dies.

oh you write soo very beautifuly1 =)psychedelicist said:I never could see what's good about life having meaning. If there's meaning to life I would have to worry about screweing up and wasting my existence. But if there is no ultimate meaning to life no one can screw it up. We can create any meaning to life that we want, and no one has to worry about being right or wrong.
Like eudaimonst said, you will find the meaning to your life in living your life, not through asking about it. Even if there is an ultimate purpose, no one could simply tell it to you. It is not something that can be explained with mere words.
The only advice I can give is to start searching. Read up about all different religions- read the bible, the koran, the vedas, the tao te ching, the principia discordia, just learn as much as possible, about religion or anything else, and start making sense of it. Talk about it with people. Even though we can't give you the answers we can help each other find the answers for ourselves. Learn to meditate or pray.
Get involved in things. Anything. Meet people, make connections. For seekers such as ourselves, I can find no better place than school, mainly college. All sorts of information and resources, available at your fingertips, as well as some of the most interesting people you will ever meet.
Be creative. Write, make music, paint, anything. It's amazing what you find that you already know. I write all the time, and reading over it again I'm amazed at all that I never realized that I knew. If you're trying to find your way, the best person to guide you is yourself, so find ways to express yourself and follow what you learn.
And don't get frustrated and depressed. It seems to me that there are 2 ways of looking at life- humorously, or with panic and fear. The principia discordia, while perhaps not the best religious text, had one good bit of advice: take nothing seriously. Not me, not you, not anything. Learn to laugh at everything, because in my experiences, the more you think about something, the funnier it seems.
It seems to me that the deeper we dig into our existence, the more paradoxical it becomes. Existence is chaos. Confusing, paradoxical, and random. It's like a dream: hazy, surreal, and you can barely make sense of any of it. I love it. I enjoy trying to make sense of the confusion. The more questions I answer, the more questions arise. I enjoy the hell out of it, because I have always delighted at trying to solve problems, to make sense of confusion, and doing it well. But for the vast majority of people, this paradox seems to cause them more suffering, panic, and frustration than joy. I suppose I can see why. It can be tiring at times, not having the answers, knowing that we're lost in this blooming, buzzing, ever increasing confusion. There's really nothing I can say that can make it easier, except that once again, you should never take it, yourself, or any one or thing else too seriously. Try and have fun with it, you'd be suprised how easy it can be.
I realize this post will probably not help you much, but it's like I said, there's only so much words, and other people, can do to help you find the answers. Just keep in mind, we're all just as lost as you are. Some of us can speak about existence more eloquently, more poetically, more optimistically, but in the end, we are all just as lost in this paradoxical, confusing, chaotic confusion. Enjoy it. Because I don't see much else it's good for.
Just remember, the hardest part of it is getting started. Once you get off your feet, it's easy to get started, to find your own path. Don't try and plan it too much, things almost never turn out like you expect. Take what comes and work with it. Just remember what van wilder said: Don't take life so seriously, you'll never get out alive.
