What is the Orthodox take on Islam?

It's a Koran, which is obvious, but here is some reading material.

John was (I think) speaking of the relationship between the Pope and Catholics. Further, Orthodox, like Catholics are made up of a diverse group and AFAIK there is no doctrine concerning what to call other Christians. I would not expect unity on this issue.

Hey, I often refer to you guys as my brethren (actually I think I refer to you as "our" brethren which might ruffle a few feathers ). However, if I was required to qualify my use of the term I think I would refer to you as "seperated" brethren. I hope that isn't offensive.

I will have to dig up the original sources at home, but basically stuff about all religions worshipping the same god, etc.

I am quite familiar with the Koran. Read the articles that say that particular koran was presented to the "pope" and finding out for yourself?

Islam is a religion that claims you should wash your plate with sand literally 30 times if a dog's mouth happens to touch it. The dog's mouth is 15% cleaner than the human mouth, and it has a germ killing substance in its mouth!

Get into the mentality of Muhammed. He plagirized the New Testament which came out 600 years before him. Isn't it obvious? We look at Genesis 2:7 "And he breathed in to his nostrils the breath of life..."

We see the same exact words in the Koran; word for word!

I mean... Muhammed was a merchant and the stories have it that he did not know how to read and write. 1) How can a merchant not read and write? 2) How can he write anything if he cannot read and write?

The fact that he claims that Gabriel was to tell him the words to write the in Kuran is just wrong. Look into it, you will see that it is self-contradictory. Plus it is said that since Muhammed didn't know how to read and write; his slaves wrote it. Also, another myth has it that it was written on a big stone in heaven by Allah...

Three things that contradict eachother.

Plus we're talking about a religion that sees women as posession and count them in with silver, gold, plates, donkeys, animals. Obviously this religion is only directed at the people in its time; which proves that Muhammed was just a man in search of power. It is blatantly obvious that he conquered city by city with the sword. Doesn't Islam mean peace?

I have a file thicker than a line of dust in a mosque that's full of contradictions.

These are just very basic ones. Please tell me if anyone finds this offensive, and feel free to edit this. But sometimes these blind people get me angry... Especially when they kidnap people and try to convert them, and take over the most divine Church in Istanbul (constantinople) and change it into a filthy mosque. I would've had the chance to go and see it, seeing as how I was born in Istanbul... but no... Let us be idiots and worship Allah!
