Were the authors of the Old Testament able to understand things in the Spiritual Realm, even though they didn't know that Jesus was going to die for their sins?
No need, I already understand it more than well enough.Sure there was, you need to hear it as often as can be heard.
It remains human understanding and prone to error. Thank you for the sincere offer, but I shall pass.
I could answer it for when I was a Christian. As I saw it God could not lie, so the Genesis account could not be taken literally. But the theory itself should have no impact on the salvation message.
Call it the complete bupkis it is. You do not have an understanding that surpasses the rest of humanity.
Of course. And it would have been just as correct if it said "The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God."Psa. 14:1
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
Of course. And it would have been just as correct if it said "The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God."
But then again, it doesn't say that though, does it now?
No, No, No your all wrong once again.
It's that a Christian is Alive having been Born Again of the Spirit, now being able to both see and hear, therefore he is able to gain both understanding and knowledge.
Whereas a person who is not Born Again, is dead in their sins, and not able to see or hear anything Spiritual because, it's not meant for then to understand, they first have to acknowledge that there is a God, and that His Son Jesus died for their sins and not until that takes place will they be able to understand anything in the Spiritual Realm, because they are dead to it in Adam (because of the Fall).
You see is really is very simple once you know where it is you stand, either in or out of Christ, everyone makes their own choice where it is they will be.
Because the theory of evolution says nothing whatever about the existence of God one way or another, or about sin and our salvation in Christ. It contradicts no essential point of Christian doctrine. Why not?
That's just the point, they are not the same, you can't get passed your humanness, if you only Believed you could see there are two very different and distinct Understandings.
It's the square peg in the square hole, or the round peg in the round hole, they are not interchangeable, they are not the same no matter how hard you try to make them be.
There is Spiritual Understanding, which is understood by Spiritually Alive human beings, and there is Human Understanding which those who are dead only understand, whereas a Spiritual human Understands both.
Says who?........You?
It's a Spiritual Understanding of Spiritual matters, which only Spiritually Alive Human beings are capable of understanding.
Therefore you continue to make these unfounded statements like you just have.
All you need to do to acquire this Spiritual Understanding which surpasses the rest of humanities understanding is become a Believer in Jesus Christ, and become Baptized, being Born Again of the Spirit.
Why don't you take the time to read the Old Testament and get back to us with your answer.

I have seen no evidence that Christians have a better understanding then other humans. In fact, there is a lot of evidence that they are just as fallible as any other human and in some cases more willing to believe in nonsense. Evolution being a case in point. It is one of the single best evidenced scientific theories on the planet and yet here are Christians trying to claim it is false.
You said it yourself, and you still don't get it.
A Christian does not have to prove the Theory of Evolution is false, it is False by the use it's own declaration, "I am a Theory of Evolution"
THEORY:
A proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural and subject to doubt, requiring more study.
Abstract knowledge or reasoning a speculative or conjectural view or idea.
A set of hypotheses related by logical arguments to explain ones beliefs.
IDIOMS:
In theory , ideally; hypothetically:
Word Origin:
1590s, "conception, mental scheme,"
from Late Latin theoria (Jerome),
from Greek theoria "contemplation, speculation, a looking at, things looked at,"
from theorein "to consider, speculate, look at,"
from theoros "spectator,"
from thea "a view" + horan "to see"
I see, you dont understand what a scientific theory is.
In science, the term "theory" refers to a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. The popular notion of "theory" as conjecture does not apply. Is that Any, One or All theory?
Nope, I would suggest that you Google search what a scientific theory is. Evolution is both a theory and a fact in the same way that gravity is both a theory and a fact.Is that Any, One or All theory?
Theory is conjecture, until it can be proven.
Pasture was a quack, until he proved his Theory as Fact.
The jury is still out concerning Darwin.
