The quotes I provided clearly states that He made it deep and wide, to make a fire in, in some translations it is even called a pit. Again it is not advisable to contradict scripture, God has let me see that pit/ lake of fire from above, it is not that important what we call it, as long as we know that it exists cause God made it exist.

When it comes to the three baptisms, yes they are all mentioned, which one are you unaware about?

sorry but the scrip makes no mention of three baptisms ... the scrip speaks to two baptisms ... here is a verse that speaks to both as well as the five gifts you keep refering to ..

And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.

in Truth there is but one Baptism (Ephesians 4:5) of which there be two perceptions of it ... a baptism/law unto death and a baptism/law unto life ... same law ... a rod cast down becomes a serpent in picture ..

i see your trying to make the fire into a third baptism, but this of your own reasoning by way of two fruits of a tree .. which is confusion or an unstableness in all your ways ... yes the double minded man verse ...

scrip is clear that God being spirit and that He is a consuming fire and that His anger burns, and His jealousy burns like fire ...

What you say is true, and the bible quote you bring is true in the sense that all that is good is united in God, He is the only one Who is good.

But that Jesus would bring both the baptism in spirit and fire, is written in the bible, I will paste a quote below. and I have been baptised in both of those ways, as well as in water.

The three are united in one also in the sense that they are about choosing God, being chosen, and union with God.

11I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

You are very wrong, baptism is a reality, it is about reaching eternity.

Earth and all things of the earth are moments in time.

I am starting to feel really sorry for you, it is not very hard to count to three, all three are mentioned there in the quote, the scripture is not unclear at all, the three of them is there, water, spirit and fire, it is you who are disagreeing with scripture.

So you can either accept that, or repent, here it is again:

It says baptize with the holy spirit and with fire.

I do not see anything unclear there at all, maybe we just have to agree to disagree, about this like many other things.

We read in some verses some clues:

The soul is a share in the immortal divine essence that animates our present physical form.

"The dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it."
(Ecclesiastes 12:7 Legacy Standard Bible).

The soul is our very essence. We cannot be, if we aren't be-ing.

The purpose of the soul is to animate this body and its experiences.

The soul is without composition and form, but takes upon a composition and form that we call this body.

The soul and spirit can be interchangable depending on the context. Sometimes "spirit" can refer to one's state of mind in biblical scriptures.

The soul is the real you who lives in your physical body. The physical body will die one day, but the soul will live on. The soul is the part of you that is converted to Christ and therefore saved when you receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

Hello some interesting thoughts. But as i understand the spirit and soul are connected in the new man. This inner man is in Christ and believers have the mind of Christ. We read of souls conscious and crying out to God even after death. there is no soul sleep in scripture.

“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them;” (Revelation 6:9-11 KJV)

“And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.” (Genesis 35:18)

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” (John 11:25)

I do not believe the soul is asleep we read of the souls crying out after death. The spirit and soul are connected in the new man and we await for our glorified body. But the soul of a man if he has been walking in the word will be either mature or a baby. His new inner man may be weak or strong and he will have grown in the knowledge of Christ alot of very little. If he continues in the word of God he will abide and grow

The body sleeps in the grave until the new glorified body is given, But a believer is conscious after death and this consciousness is connected to their spirit and soul. They are a real person with the Lord. As scripture teaches.

Jesus said to the thief on the cross

"“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)

and 2 Cor. 5:8 absent from the body and present with the Lord. What is present with the Lord? just our spirit and our mind and consciousness is asleep? No, we are present as a new man with the Lord. And Lazarus and the rich man true story tells of consciousness after death with mind will emotions etc.

There is no soul sleep. Souls are conscious after death. If we take the understanding that the soul is the mind will emotions and life etc, we see that there are two aspects to this mind for example, there is the carnal mind and the spiritual mind

"That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith..." (Ephesians 3:16,17)

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

In him is life and life eternal.

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:6)

Therefore, if we have the mind of Christ that mind is eternal and conscious after death. This is the righteous person who has a born again spirit and soul We see the spirit born again begat in John 3 and the soul begat with the word of God in James

and the other souls or minds and hearts are blinded and lost but still they are conscious after death, they are not righteous souls but unrighteous

“He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.”

"And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them." (Mark 4:11,12)

But we see that believers have a spiritual inner man that can see and hear spiritual things and know the Lord. They have the mind of Christ and the lost do not see spiritual things or know the Lord or have spiritual ears or minds. yet even their soul is conscious after death as we read here ( and this is not a parable Jesus uses specific names and was not making up a fable). We even see that in hell the lost have eyes and speak etc. and are conscious. I have shown a few verses about this and even souls speaking after death, conscious. So our spirit and soul in Christ are connected to believers in a righteous renewed saved state, the lost are not righteous or saved but lost in a damned state, but still conscious.

"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence." ( Luke 16:22-26)

the spirit and soul seem to be very interconnected and do similar things of each, consider,

“Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.” (John 12:27

with

“When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.” John 13:21)

and

"And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

and

“To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,”

“But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”

and a side note the spirit can be defiled and lost as well. But this is a whole other thread.

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”


Just a few thoughts. But truly the soul and spirit are connected and conscious after death and believers are new creations in Christ. In him is life and life eternal.

(and a side note, Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh and there is aTrinity or \Tri Unity seen in scripture, even if the word Trinty is not used, we use the word Bible and that word is not in the holy scriptures so we can use words that refer to things if the concept is clearly taught. Isaiah 48:15-17 show the Trinity very clearly.), curious, what religious group are you part of?)
