Hey, Caleb,

As far as I know, the Baptist church practices adult baptism on profession of faith as do the Anabaptists. However most Anabaptists will baptize again if a saved Christian fell away.

Most Baptists believe "once saved - always saved" and would say those lost were never saved. This complex issue is solved by a thorough exegetical analysis of Hebrews Ch 6.

Anabaptists believe more along the teaching of John Wesley - that you can be lost - turn away from God - after your salvation. We believe the 10 warnings in Hebrews apply to us today.

Anabaptists do not have sacraments as a rule and practice foot washing and the Holy (or brush a cheek) Kiss. The sisters are usually covered or veiled like the Mennonites and Amish.

This denomination is very broad and oriented along Biblical lines rather than a typical church structure. Over 400 years ago Anabaptists were persecuted by Catholics and all Protestants for their desire for a church/state seperation. Their refusal to infant baptize resulted in many horrible deaths.

Today many new churches are springing up with disenchanted Anabaptists joining with home-schoolers and beginning congregations that practice separation from the world and seek holiness for themselves and their children without any detailed standards.

In Christ,
