Is it just getting up more times than you get knocked down?

Is it being assertive and standing up for yourself?

Is it a blend of both?

Is it simply not giving up/in?

I want to be strong in this trial of mine and just looking for ways to endure it without support.

Thnx

True strength is knowing your limits and being willing to seek and accept help.

we are suposed to be part of a community where we bear one another weaknesses, help each other in times of trouble.
Unfortunately I dont have that option right now.
I have 2 kids and no car so im pretty much home bound thats why I ask about doing it alone.

"The joy of the Lord is my strength" Nehemiah 8

"...who for the joy that was before him endured the cross..." Hebrews 12

"“...My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me. That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.…" 2 Corinthians 12

This theme runs the length of the New Testament and the Old. It is God who is our strength. And this is literal, not just theoretical, and not hyperbolic and not symbolic. We have no strength, no ability, in what matters, except as God works in us both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure. HE IS the ability.

Each circumstance has it's own requirement for maintaining a level of strength that is needed to endure. As Christians we draw our strength from the Lord. He in turn delivers that strength in many ways. Either through His written word, prayer or by others. To decide that a support system has no use in building ones strength well......, it is somewhat shortsighted. Be open to all possibilities presented to you by your God. Blessings.

No no. I Know a support system is needed but some just dont have that. Im asking for help to thrive without one. I dont have friends. Cant get to church. Im home bound and my car is broken down and I have no money to get it fixed. Im surrounded in a tozic-ish Enviornment, screaming kids and nursery ryhmes lol. So im just asking how to be strong though Im alone.
Thats all.

Inside ourselves, we can be quiet, be still, with God. And trust Him to make us strong in pleasant patience. And care about others in prayer. And be a good example for those screaming kids; encourage them to do what is better.

Nit really. I wish they had like a little shuttle bus that comes and picks people up.

Below is a short post I wrote on this topic. I will then apply it to your question.

In life there are many pressures, these can cause us to become angry, tired, or feel defeated. God promises people who follow him good emotions, like love, joy, and peace. So why do we often not experience this?

The Bible reminds us that there is a war that rages between the good, and the bad in us. Jesus told His disciples to remain joined to Him, and if they did this they would produce the good, not bad, fruit.

John 15:5 I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I stay joined to you, then you will produce lots of fruit. But you cannot do anything without me.

He told His disciples that the key to remaining free from stumbling and to gain strength was to daily spend time praying. That prayer would strengthen the areas which were weak in them. This includes giving an increase in love, joy, and peace.

Mark 14:38 Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation or sin, for the Spirit is willing, but the natural person weak.

Prayer gives our will and emotions the nutrients to sustain us through dry times.

Jer 17:7-8 I will bless those who trust me. They will be like trees growing beside a stream— trees with roots that reach down to the water, and with leaves that are always green. They bear fruit every year and are never worried by a lack of rain.

Prayer can be like weight lifting, when you first start out it can be a struggle, it may not seem joy-giving. But in the end, the person who spends their time in daily prayer will have greater peace, a greater strength, than if they remain separate from Jesus.

As a Christian, we can feel worn out and under pressure, especially with kids (as you mention). But as Jesus tells us to remain free from sin, or negative emotions, we need to be soaking in His strength through prayer. It is vital in life to spend daily time in prayer, even if we feel too busy to pray. Otherwise, we will be filled with stress and worries.

The just who are the penitent, the regenerated who may fall several times, but do rise right back up in their sincerity toward God; for they do deny their own will, that they may always submit to and rely upon the will of God. (used from Proverbs 24:16)
2Corinthians 13:4 For though he (the Lord Jesus Christ) was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you (others).
When we are weak, then are we strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
