How does science test for a God?The test is not invalid. It's a test of confirmation bias. I simply wanted to see how you would go about doing things, but you have refused to take the test. Perhaps you know that you will fail.

How does science test for a God?
How does anyone test for a God?
Do you realize how stupid that sounds? It's like saying, "All right. Throwing virgins into the volcano isn't good enough. Maybe it doesn't always prevent the volcano from erupting. However, what do you propose we replace it with?"
Well, maybe I don't have a magic method of preventing volcanoes from erupting. That doesn't require me to sacrifice virgins to the volcano god.
Does it?
Science cannot test for a God. Therefore, science is not particularly useful. How does science test for a God?

As for testing for God, anyone can pray and potentially receive an answer. People who do often share this experience. I believe this is called "witnessing." Perhaps if enough people witness to you, you may feel that it's worth trying it for yourself. Then perhaps you will get a personal answer from God or perhaps not. Who can say?
I gave you the opportunity. Had you noted the numbers, postulated a hypothesis, and set about immediately to try to falsify that hypothesis, that would seem to demonstrate that you do not have confirmation bias.Hi,
And if it's not confirmation bias, but rather it is what is, how would you or I find that out? I had to do that, my associates had to do that. It is what we did.
You seem to use lots of philosophy, but you do not seem to use enough science. In science yes, we use some philosophy, like your accusation above of me engaging only in confirmation bias and nothing more.
Your question to me is handled this way. How do I know that I am not just engaging in confirmation bias specifically, but in more general terms it is this: How do I know what I know is Accurate and Real, with no biases, nor mistakes.
I and everyone I know do and did that. I do not see you asking yourself the same questions in reverse.
How can you show that I did not have bias, nor made an error?
LOVE,
How does throwing virgins into a volcano involve a drug?
You beat me to it.How would one know, the personal answer was from a God and not their imagination?
OK.Unclear. It doesn't mean, however, that the experiment couldn't be performed.
Religions are never the answer for anything because they give no answers, people just think they do.
It's a pretty lame excuse to believe something isn't it?In your opinion. You cannot prove that, scientifically.

What else do you believe that can not prove scientifically? there are pink winged horses?
No just lots of people imagining things that are not true, after all what have they been told to look for? a feeling, if they have a feeling that's God making them feel that feeling, it's not much to go on but susceptible people will take that feeling as a sign that somebody up there loves them and is watching out for them, there is no one watching out for them but the feeling and them wanting it to be true makes them believe it's God coming into their life, one more soul captured for God and another tithe coming in, peer pressure from other believers in the church will do the rest, religion is big business in America and not a God in sight.Basically, the view of some is that billions of religious experiences are simply billions of liars making up stories.

No not smug satisfaction just a grateful feeling that it didn't happen to me.It's a pretty lame conclusion you've come to concerning religion. You have your biased subjective opinion which has no basis other than your biased subjective opinion. Which is pretty well worthless, except to bring you a certain sense of smug satisfaction.

It could so very easily be me saying what you're saying had I been raised as you were and where you were, I am forever thankful that it wasn't me.
