• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

My dearest friend passed away yesterday.

I've been with him for 13 years of my life.

Grew up with him since childhood.

I'm not really sure how to live without him.

He's been with me for everything.

A lot of people may think he's just a pet.

But he was my best friend.

It's so lonely here without him.

I hope I make it to heaven.
And I hope God hands my friend to me in an instant.
I can't wait for the day to see him again.

Rest in peace, Dexter.
I love you and miss you dearly.

I can appreciate your sorrow, for we lost our aged cat who died in his bed during the night. We have another cat donated to us by our family who could not keep him, and he has been a comforter when sitting in the living room, and laying by us at night. He is also a comic. You need to get another friend --not to replace the other, but as a comforter. God has given us many animals that enjoy service to mankind.

Let me just remind you, friend, that Heaven is not for animals, for they are creatures of earth (note Psa. 49:12 & Eccl. 3:21). The true saints of God are creatures of Heaven, and those religious folks who don't know the Savior will not be there either. See John 1; John 3; John 14. Look up always!

I believe that there WILL be animals in heaven. They can not be "saved" but neither can angels and they will be there too.

Rev 8:13

13 As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

Rev 5:13

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”

There are a number of other animals listed in the Book of Revelations...

I so hope that there are animals in heaven. I mean, they are love and G-D is love, so, they must be there. Gosh, I so want to see my critters when I cross that Rainbow Bridge. That poem always makes me cry.
