There are many names for God depending upon the attribute or essence of God that is being addressed...

El Elyon

Jehovah-Nissi
Jehovah-Raah
Jehovah Rapha
Jehovah Shammah
Jehovah Tsidkenu
Jehovah Mekoddishkem
El Olam
Elohim

Jehovah Jireh

Jehovah Sabaoth
If you know Hebrew (/Greek), then you would see that when particular petitions are placed before God, they are related to the name/essence of God that applies... such as this "famous" psalm...again from BLB...
In the Old Testament Jehovah-Raah (The Lord my Shepherd) is used in Psalm 23.
Jehovah-Raah in the Septuagint: kurios poimainei me the Lord shepherds me
Rô'eh from which Raah derived, means "shepherd" in Hebrew.
If one of these two are right then why do we speak of the three persons but do not say the name when we baptise
There are also many "titles" for Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and for the totality of God. The passage is a quotation from Christ's teachings, and that is called the "baptismal formula" which is provided by the Lord for our baptism into the faith. The manuscripts are not "modified" ideas, but are the records of eye witnesses to the testament of Jesus Christ..
BTW... Jehovah in the Old Testament is Jesus Christ pre-incarnate.
