What is faith?

Faith is belief. Faith is trust, reliance, ability to beleive the unseen and unforseen. Faith is Trust in our Lord, Savior and Father.

Faith is when you are going through troubled times, you feel that God has let you down, you stand strong and are not affected by the worldly problems.

Faith is feeling like you've lost your faith but always believing that God has not lost you.

Faith is ignoring your best mates when they hate you because of your trust in Jesus.

Faith is saying to yourself when you feel that God has left you, He will never never never leave me! (Heb 13:5)

Faith is always seeing the heavenly, eternal rewards when you on earth have nothing left.

Faith is knowing in your heart "God's will be done whether i like it or not because He is Good." regardless how many broken bones you have.

Faith is always believing that you are being watched by God and under His protection.

Faith is working that extra 5 hours joyfully when you are tired whilst your boss gives you no gratitude.

The list is endless.

Faith, without it you can't please God. So let's all build up faithfully with Love.

Absolutely!

Anybody want to add onto this post the question.... How do we get faith?

God Bless, metal.

I'm going to take a crack at an unorthodox answer. :)

We gain faith through not being afraid to make mistakes. Fear and faith seem to be related. Our rational mind cannot deal with some fears. Faith allows us to confidently act when reason makes us fearful of the outcomes. When we say, I might be wrong, but I am going to step out and do it anyway, that is an act of faith. When the experience of acting in faith is rewarded with positive experience our faith in that action increases. The trap we can fall into is to forget we have faith, and start to rationalise why we should once more be afraid to step out and make mistakes.

I would put your first sentence the other way round. We are not afraid about making mistakes because we have faith. When we trust in God it is then that we can have the courage to step out in faith and not worry overly about failing because we have committed our course of action to God in prayer.

Most importantly, Faith is a gift from God. Hallelujah!

Faith is spelt R-I-S-K.

Id agree with all the answers... Faith comes through reading the word of God, but ALSO from experience.

The more I see the results of my prayers, the more I pray, and the stronger I pray, and my measure of faith increases each time.

God Bless, metal.
