C S Lewis...brilliant...yes, screwtape letters...

I've read all the children's books too (good excuse, had to read them with the children)

The latest one was 'Reflection on the Psalms'
I'm into books on healing at the moment...

Renee, I wasn't aware of that particular website, I will check that out! I have enjoyed reading of some of those type of experiences just keeping in mind that they are "experiences" and not scripture. But it does seem that the Lord has wanted some folk with NDE to tell of it.

There is an older book of this type that is still being published but under a different name and in a shortened version. It is the book, original name "Intra Muros". Written around the turn of the century (late 1800's or early 1900's) can't remember for sure. It made such an impression on me as a child and even still is very meaningful. I have given copies of this little book to people who have lost Christian loved ones.

This original book is no longer under copyright and can be downloaded free from google books. I recommend it! Very detailed account. The newer, shortened version leaves out a part that the current publishers felt would be controversial but I actually appreciated the original and was glad to find the original version on line that has the entire book. Author is Rebecca Springer.

I recently finished "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis. Awesome allegory. It really spoke to me on a spiritual level. There is no one like C.S. Lewis. "Screwtape Letters" is also one of my favorites.

Might I suggest "Weight of Glory"?

It has a lot in common with "The Screwtape Letters", not the form, or that it is in small chunks like Screwtape, but in the sense that it includes things it seems most others ignore taht are rather important to realize for Christians and for that matter 90% of what Lewis writes is useful for the vast majority of people.

Now what a great idea. Why didn't you say so when we were over there??

I have recently read Jonathan Cahn's book, The Shemitah. Got it from my local library after buying and reading The Harbinger. I also just finished David Jeremiah's The Agents of the Apocalypse. I am now reading The Cycle of Cosmic Catastrophes by Richard Firestone, Allen West, and Simon Warwick-Smith. I felt led of the Lord to read this book and when I asked Him why, He told me that He wanted to show me how big He really is. This book has 356 pages without the appendices, but it has been a very interesting read and I learned some new facts about our planetary systems and ancient people who went extinct after a comet hit earth around 45,000 years ago.
