CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't have much of a problem with the pages loading from home where I use 56K.

56k dialup for me. If you get a good connection, the pages load pretty fast. I have a good connection today and I'm just zipping along.

56k modem...but since I don't live near the main phone center, I connect between 24 to 26.4 bps 
My uncle, lived closer to the main phone center had a much faster connection between 33 to 41 bps

not too bad, so far....haven't gotten to changing the ports yet, as I was on vacation.
I'll let you know how it went when I get the modem/scanner hooked up in proper ports.

Here in Australia, broadband has pretty much had the life choked out of it by Telstra, the main telecommunications company

I guess that I'm in the slow lane, but I really don't feel the need to pay all the extra money and get in a hurry. I have often wondered about the pros and cons of the fast lane and the big bills.
