AW, after you sent me the epub I decided to create and post R.B.C. Howell's work on the covenants in epub.

The Covenants (free epub) « Feileadh Mor

I tried to download but took me to a different site and couldn't without creating an account, which I didn't. I'd also like to find a copy of John Gill's work on Covenant Theology. I bid on a nice copy on eBay not too long ago, but got outbid of course.

Haven't seen the movie. Yet. Burroughs was very much into the humanism of his time. He thought that science was the answer to man's problem. I had very little compassion for the suffering of man as a consequence of reading his books so much when I was young.

In my opinion, John Stewart Mill's "On Liberty" contains the best defense of the antithesis ever written.

"On Liberty" is one of those few books I return to. It's really no more than a short essay, definitely a one-sitting read. But, I always start it too late and always wind up loosing sleep behind it. All tolled over several readings and as many decades, I've most likely lost a full nights sleep behind Mr. Mill's wonderful work.

Thank you, Mr. Mill, wherever you are.

What can I say...I like pulp fiction. Here's what I'm reading now:

I've read just about all of this series, and was always hoping that one of the sequels could capture what the first book had: conversations between John Carter and Deja Thoris. The interactions the two of them had before they really knew each other was very clever. But, alas, none of the sequels ever did it as well as the first book.

You have inspired me to come out of the closet. I am a John Ringo fan.
There, I said it.
