I will be very glad to answer the question, thank you for asking. Everything was created by God, who is eternal and who always existed. How about you answer that yourself? Where did everything come from, huh?
Correct, not everything did come from somewhere. I agree with you on that one, at least.
Why does being an atheist mean you have to have the explanation for "where everything came from"..???I will be very glad to answer the question, thank you for asking. Everything was created by God, who is eternal and who always existed.
As an atheist, you don't believe in God so please tell me where everything came from. Thanks so much.
From "Life". And Life just "is". There is no need to come from anything. I get that, and I'm not even an atheist. As an atheist, you don't believe in God so please tell me where everything came from.
Every cell comes from the atoms of star dust.Do you believe that every cell comes from a pre-existing cell?
I dont discount a creator being totally. It might be true. I have no evidence for it, though.Just out of curiousity. You discount the idea that an eternal God created everything, so I am curious to know what is your explanation.

Fair enough, you accept there is the possibility of God existing. I think that's a great first step.I dont discount a creator being totally. It might be true. I have no evidence for it, though.

As for my explanation: I dont have one. And why should I? I'm hardly in any position to be explaining the origin of the universe itself. I understand that scientists and philosophers have some interesting speculations on the matter. Perhaps one day we will will know.

Why do you say God is nothing? No, that is semantically incorrect. Except, of course, God is nothing. So, where did everything come from?
Sorry, I overlooked that part. How do you believe it is possible that not everything came from somewhere?Did you not read the last post:

Sorry, I must be definitely misreading. What are you trying to say here?I did not say that. You misread. Maybe I should have bracketed off that sentence.
Something that is not God, yes.Do you feel it is somehow implausible to believe that there is something that just exists?
I look at stardust first because that's the place I think of to start, not the cells.Atoms of star dust may compose the cells, but this isn't what I asked you.
Do you believe all cells come from pre-existing cells?
Sorry, I must be definitely misreading. What are you trying to say here?
Something that is not God, yes.
Or, that God is different from His creation so that He would not be what we would consider a "thing".The statement "God created everything" can not be correct, except in the case where God is an empty set, i.e. nothing. (Or you have an odd understanding of "everything".)
Nope. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, blameless, has always existed. These are only some of His amazing attributes. Find me something you are aware of that has all of these attributes.Really, how would you tell the difference? If it talks it is (a) God? No, certainly not, no?
I still want to know WHY you think I should have an explanation for the "origin of everything".Fair enough, you accept there is the possibility of God existing. I think that's a great first step.
The Bible states that God has always existed, and that He created everything.
God is our Creator. Our Saviour. He has always existed. He is all knowing. He is all powerful. He is perfect. He came down among us in the form of flesh to live among us and suffer for us as Jesus Christ. He is love. He has no beginning and no end. What do you say God is?
