I was wondering [after looking on wikipedia],

What if Sony and nintendo indeed worked together to make a CD-rom for the SNES?

Would the Playstation have a different name? what about the N64 and GameCube? Or Would have Sega and Microsoft banded together to counter their move?

Considering the PS was suppose to be the CD add on for the 64, it would have had a different name: The 64DD.

I don't think Sega and MS would have gotten together.
