John 1

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

So, here is the new poll.
This is based scripturally on what Jesus had said, not on what he directly told you in person. Jesus is with us in Spirit, because he gave us His Holy Spirit. The name of the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit is "I AM"

In scripture, if Jesus had understood the language of Greek and use the words "homosexual" and defined it as a sin, how should a homosexual deal with it? I know a lot of homosexuals may feel they are following what is right and just in their eyes. But were talking about the glory of God here, about Jesus, who was sent to do the will of the Father.

If Jesus said in scripture that homosexuality and joining oneself with someone of the same sex was a sin and a sexually immoral thing that one must abstain from, what would you do (even if your not a homosexual)?

Alright, IF Jesus directly stated in the Bible that homosexual sex/marriage was wrong, then I would be forced to abstain completely. IF God went further and stated that homosexuality ITSELF was wrong, then I'm not sure what I'd do. I would probably submerge myself in the ex-gay culture and indure electroshock aversion therapy in order to please God. Eventually depression would set in and I would pray for death to come quickly.

First, I don't think that's the way God operates...however, I will try an aswer:

If Jesus had said not to be homosexual in scripture, I would first ask him: "why did you make me this way in the first place? Why did you bring me a faithful partner? Why did you place us in a faith community that not only accepts us, but upholds us as a wholesome example of coupled relationship?"

And we'd take the conversation from there.

well, i belive i would have never started believing in that religion in the first place, in a system of beliefs that discriminates, without a shade of doubt, someone for who they are and condemn them to an unhappy life.
that's why sometimes i think that we believe in 2 different religions.

I didn't make this topic to condemn homosexuality or something I will use in the future to attack it, but on the topic of faith. More like "If faith commands you do this out of love for God, would you put God first instead of this sort-of-thing"

I relate it to something such as if Jesus told me to love my enemies:

If an enemy is stabbing me to death, my first feeling would be to be angry, upset, curse him, and wish death upon him or her. But Jesus commands us to contradict these feelings and love them, pray for them, and have mercy and grace upon them.
