If yours was a child baptism, you can talk to your pastor and be rebaptized. Even mature Christians have questions about God's sovereignty, election, predestination and so on. A deepening relationship with Christ will answer most of those questions. The rest will only be answered when we're in His presence. Peace in Christ.

"Through many tribulations shall we enter the kingdom of heaven" - Acts 14:22. You are not alone in your trials. I would say that it is an indication that you are one of God's chosen, since Heb. 12 is all about God scourging His sons for the purpose of sharing in His holiness.

Also, 2 Pet. 1:10 shows us that we need to find out that we are chosen of God for certain, if we have doubts that we are. The context of v. 3-11 tells us how to do that. We have to trust God, there is no option here.

Some things are too big for me and my mind. And our knowledge will always be "in part", not perfect, and we can err in so many ways. But if I am to believe that God is love, and that His love goes beyond my understanding, I can ask Him to show Himself to me, and Christ to be my Lord through all my fears and doubts, and to guide me in ways only He knows how to do. He wants us to seek Him, to turn to Him, and that's exactly what you're doing no matter how many fears your mind throws at you. Your father will take care of you, and in Christ we have the biggest hope. For many believers it takes such a long time for them to finally be able to let go most of their doubts and fears. I pray for God to guide you, keep you and strengthen you in His ways, and for you to be able to trust Him without fear and grow in patience. It's alright brother, we can only know and do so much. Let us trust God, hold Christ precious, and love with a simple heart.

You have taken the initiative to respond to God's offer to join His flock/family/kingdom. God ... and the angels ... rejoiced as when you came to Him. That He knew you were going to eventually come does not limit your freedom to come.

The one attempting to put doubt in your mind now is Satan.

The thing for you to do is to pursue your new relationship with God with vigor, fellowshipping with other christians, praying for wisdom and discernment, starting on a regular Bible study program, etc.

Also pray that God will testify to your heart that your new relationship is real ...

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

It's really simple. You should ask yourself " do I want Jesus in my life and do I want His peace and eternal assurance" ? Because if you come to realize that is what you seek and you seek Him, you are one of the elect. No sense confusing the issue with what if or what about them etc.

As to things going bad. Ya Satan hates us. But he is used to test our faith. Don't let vein imaginations tell you or whisperers whispering in your ear say that God doesn't love you. Nothing is further from the truth. But you may need to endure some trials so that you can come to your own realization that God is with you and will never leave you. Then you pass the test in pure faith you pass the test. Don't let your faith fold up and wilt away because you're fed a lie from the dark side, over come that ! Get past it. I've been through many, that's why I picked the verse in my signature below.

This is not so. God knows what choices people will make, but He does not make their choices for them.

Just because one receives Jesus does not mean they will not experience bad things ... the promise is Jesus will go through the bad times with you, will comfort you through the bad times.

1 Peter 4:12
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

2 Timothy 3:12
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

2 Corinthians 4:16
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

Romans 5:2-5
Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

2 Corinthians 4:17
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,

Continue in Him ... you are not experiencing anything that all of us do not experience at some time or another.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

What you are describing is Calvinism. It is called predestination. Most Christians do not follow this theological system. God simply has foreknowledge. This should not be a concern to a Holy Spirit filled Christian. He even knows the number of hairs on your head. What matters is that God's "will" is that all will be saved through His Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
From your description you are experiencing spiritual warfare. Stop doubting and start walking with the Holy Spirit. You should see a significant change.
Blessings

Your best source of advice and help is your minister.
Ring or email him to make an appointment to see him.
Two things.
Christianity is about following Jesus, is that what you are doing?
Christianity is not a protection against bad things happening.

I'll try to answer every question and provide few verses so read till the end .

Your questions are very very common and most of people ask them from my personal experience and it's because of lack of knowledge of the Bible and lies spread around world from different denominations every claiming that they got the "truth" and that their point of view is the correct one making huge mess and divisions that's why I suggest to read the Bible for yourself and you will find most answers for your questions here .

1)What if I don't know him and he doesn't know me?

If you don't know him or he doesn't know you then you will suffer for eternity in the future after you will be ressurrected from the dead.

There are 2 types of ressurection , one of living and then of the damned to be judged and punished , people in first ressurrection are not judged because their sins were alredy judged at the cross and forgiven by Christ , people in 2nd ressurrection are punished for not accepting Holy Spirit and forgivness from God . Revelation 20:5-15

2)The way the bible makes it sound is God has people picked out to be with him from the beginning of time?

God did not pick anybody because we have free will , he just know who would believe and accept Holy Spirit so he send them preacher so they can hear the news and be saved.
And it's called grace because it's free plus God does not owe us anything so it's his mercy .
People "picked" this way are called "not from this world " because they were rescued from this fallen world . John 17:16

3)
So if he already knows who is going to be good or bad why torment the rest of us and have us burn for an eternity?

This is major misconseption that most people believe just like they imagine satan being like devil with horns and pitchwork ruling in underworld in hell .

People don't go to heaven into eternity for being good or bad

Bible is pretty clear on this topic that there is not one person righteous and good , God himself call us evil and that none made it and none kept his laws .

Mark 10:18
Romans 3:10
Romans 3:23

There are no "levels" of sin , murder is not more sinful than telling lie in God's eyes if you commited one sin you are guilty of every single one and not better or worse from your friend who commited other sins.

James 2:10

People go to heaven/are forgiven on basic of if they accepted Jesus Christ or if they rejected him and it's free. Ephesians 2:8-10 , Romans 11:6-8 , Ephesians 1:13-14 , 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 .

4.I have prayed for forgiveness of my sins, repented and was baptized as a baby and asked to be filled with the holy spirit. but then bad things just start happening like God is saying "I don't want you, you will never enter my kingdom!

a) Jesus died for sins therefore asking for forgivness is like asking Jesus to go suffer for you again because first time was not good enought it's not Biblical , there is no sinner's prayer in Bible it's man made, feeling bad for commiting sin and wanting to do good is very good thing but it has nothing to do with being saved and having eternal life

b) Repentance is change of mind , it does not mean stopping doing one sin , if you commited 1 sin you are alredy sinner for rest of your life.
Murderer who killed somebody can't plead before judge that he will never kill somebody again so he should let him go not punished for what he commited , God is just Judge so he has to punish sin

What repentance in Bible is , it's change of mind from being wicked person going to hell towards wanting to have relationship with God and be saved. Some person can be presented with clear gospel and reject it therefore rejecting salvation

That should give you enought information about gospel and answer your questions , remember the things you said you did like being baptised as baby , going to church ect does not make you a Christian to begin with , what makes somebody Christian or "the elect " is if he has been sealed with Holy Spirit after accepting free gift of salvation .

Every single verse below contradict what you have been taught about being Chosen, Elected, Preordained, Predestined.
The all have one word in common which means you in personally.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Luke 12:8
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

Luke 18:17
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter there

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Rev. 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Don't ever doubt you have not been called.
If you are doubting, that in itself means, you are on the right side of Salvation in order for you to be able to even ask that question.

If you were not where you are today, you would not be asking these questions, those who are not where you are do not care where they are and never ask the questions you are asking because, they are dead in their sins.

John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Do you Believe?

Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Many would say you were Baptized as a child, there is no need to be
Re-baptized.

I say you were Baptized as a child where someone else stood in for you, no one can stand in for you, on judgement day, will the one who stood in for you for Baptism also stand in for your judgement?

This can only be done by you, get Re-Baptized and make your own Profession of Faith to God.

Rom. 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

A child or babe cannot do either of those things, it says a man.

STOP the DOUBTING, and start WALKING.

God does want you, friend. He loves you.

Do your best to follow Christ. Talk to Him, study Scripture, especially the Gospels. Spend time with God in prayer.

Bad things happen all the time. Life can be very, very hard. But that's not God's fault. The Enemy is also very active. Please be assued that God does love you, does want you, and is granting you every grace to be saved.

You are His sheep, if you just believe and stay under His wings.

You know, I think we are actually very lucky to have such a great God. A Mighty God, who already knows the end from the beginning. He knows those who will receive Him and those who will not. One mistake we should never ever make, is to think that God is desperate or stranded for worshippers, because He really isn't.

God has chosen us in Christ who is The Elect. In other words, all who are in Christ by their free choice, are chosen by God as His elect children. Before they are even born, God's omniscience enables Him to know who will freely choose to trust in Christ as their Saviour and Lord and become "new creatures" in him. All such God has, through His omniscience, "predestined" to be saved. But His choosing us is always according to our freely choosing Christ, which love requires.

See: www.soteriology101.com

God's foreknowledge of our actions doesn't necessarily mean He causes them, any more than a parent who knows their newborn baby will poop his pants has caused him to do so. Foreknowledge does not equal causation.

God never says to anyone, "I don't want you." That's what sinners say to Him.

1 Timothy 2:3-4
3 ...God our Savior,
4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth...

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Beloved one, what is prophecy? Oxford defined as prediction.

So one saying,”what if I….” ; one make a prediction or prophecy of oneself.

Saying "I don't want you, you will never enter my kingdom!" — can be considered as prophecy or prediction.

Can this be considered as true prophecy or false prophecy?

This is what we have heard:
Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the Lord.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭23:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved one, if we heard any prediction that make us worthless, we should perceive and understand that that prophecy is not from the mouth of God but a false prophecy or false prediction. So we should not listen as the Lord of hosts has told us !

So prediction or prophecy that makes worthy or of value, is true prophecy or prediction, that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Why? The Father has sent His Son to die for us, so our worth or value, is His blood, that He gave to purchase us out of the hand of the enemy.

Beloved one, don’t listen to the voice of the enemy; the enemy intends to lie, and say that we are not worthy of the Lord’s kingdom.
The enemy intend to exploit ( buy or sell ) us cheap, that he may rule over us, that we may be slaves of sin. Therefore, we should not listen to the words that came from the false prophets.

Beloved one, come to the Lord, that you may not be thirsty of the righteousness of God.

To God the Father be thanksgiving through Christ.Amen.

The question here was 'what if I am not one of the chosen...'; but the Gospels make it clear that ALL souls should come to the Savior; else they will remain in their natural sinful state from birth. Has the OP read the Gospels at John 3:16; John 14; Romans 8; etc. and hear God speaking to one? God says: "now is the acceptable time".
