What if evolution was proven false?

Although I'd be loathe to accept these quotes as evidence for special creation...

Gosh, if only God would love me as much as he loved Job. Replacement families are so much better than the originals.

Wait a minute, I have somebody proposing that it was Satan who was responsible for Job's troubles. What is your interpretation of the story?

I think Satan went to God and they had a talk, and Satan told God that he could ruins Jobs faith, so God said something to the effect of "ok, give it a shot". Job was basically tortured, seperated from his family, and other terrible things and he never lost faith in God.

The story can be found in Job 1 and 2, you can read it or I'll post it if you want, it seems God said Job was almost perfect and it kinda looks like God actually challenged Satan to try to smote (among other things) Job.

Regarding Job: Not a particularly well-suited story to emphasize god's benevolence, is it?

"Job pleases me - go ahead and torture him, will you? And do your worst, I really want to see genuine suffering here, not just the 'I lost my job' persuasion!"

Another reasons why family members should make sure there's no believer among them... >=}

Would you be disappointed? What would it be like?

No apology or money, but I'd be happy to buy you a beer if we were in the same town. In the circumstances you describe I would have to reconsider the existence of a creator. This would change my outlook on existence, as I have gotten pretty used to the concept of a universe with no creator. But I don't think it would have any impact on my day-to-day life.

I'm not talking about what Satan did to Job, i'm talking about God telling Job He is in charge in the end chapters and who can question the methods of God.
