There are no Biblical notations for most of them.

Acts 12 says that James, brother of John was executed at the order of Herod Agrippa. I can't recall any Biblical account of the others.

So tradition is the only other source of information extant. I suspect most of the traditional accounts are reasonably accurate. However, the information from tradition does not have - for me, anyway - the same 'authenticity' as the Biblical record.

Still, I read of incidents from World War I and don't get too worked up over a 'non-Biblical source'.

In some cases, such as Peter and Paul dying in Rome during the persecution brought on by Nero, is pretty strong. In other cases we have fairly divergent legends and traditions, and so it's difficult to say for certain.

Here's an example of competing traditions and legends, in this case concerning St. Simon the Zealot:

"One tradition states that he traveled in the Middle East and Africa. Christian Ethiopians claim that he was crucified in Samaria, while Justus Lipsius writes that he was sawn in half at Suanir, Persia.[2] However, Moses of Chorene writes that he was martyred at Weriosphora in Caucasian Iberia.[2] Tradition also claims he died peacefully at Edessa.[10] Another tradition says he visited Britain—possibly Glastonbury—and was martyred in Caistor, modern-day Lincolnshire." - Wikipedia
