I don't own many instruments myself. I'm fortunate to have two expensive interests: computers and percussion. The most notable instrument I have is a 4-octave marimba (wish it was a 5-octave :p but love having it :) ). I have a few smaller instruments: snare drum, triangle, claves, and a bunch of mallets. Stuff's expensive. :p

My main setup is pretty simple: An Alesis 6.2 synth, a Bheringer (sp?) 6 channel mixer, and a pair of Samson active studio monitors (can't remember the name off the top of my head). I've only had this setup for about 8 months, and I'm in love with it. Alesis packed some SWEET sounds into that tiny board.

I also play a couple of guitars of unknown origin (an acoustic steel and an acoustic nylon), a Gold Tone banjo, and occationally two other Yamaha keyboards (PSR-410 and P-80). The steel string and P-80 aren't mine though. I really want to buy a certian Sigma guitar I've played at a music store when I get the $$$.

Gear talk puts me to sleep...

I've got a Les Paul and a Takamine.

I think the Les Paul would tread water better if I was in a canoe....but I haven't actually tried it yet. Marshall 100 watt amp, Fender concert amp, couple of other little gizmos, gadgets, and whatnotts.

My favorite gear is a computer based recording studio using Acid 4.o and a bunch of acoustic drum loops with a Fender P-bass and a Roland GR-8 modeling console for a zillion guitar sounds without hauling in a bunch of gear and keeping my wife up all night.

Amen?
