God gives us choice, He does want us to choose love and life, not sin and death.

sin is anything outside of the will of God. it includes things that are hurtful to ourselves and to others, lying stealing, unjust hatred, murder. sin keeps us away from God. God can forgive all these sins, even Moses murdered someone before God used him mightily. God forgives our sins in Jesus, Jesus has the power to get us away from sin and live pleasing to God.
just be sure to remember sin and God is not just a bunch of rules. God wishes for us to personally know Him, we can do that with Jesus and His Holy Spirit, more can be learned in the New Testament prayerfully.

What is sin and how is it possible for it to exist if we all came from a perfect God?

To sin means that we go against the commandments of God in thought, word, and deed. To overcome sin we must sincerely repent and amend our lives to sincerely try and sin no more.

Sin began with the fall of Adam and Eve. They disobeyed God. All people are considered from the line of Adam and Eve and are born into sin.

WE are forgiven all of our sins because Jesus died on the cross. He paid for our sins.

WE do not "come from" a perfect God per se. God is perfect, yes, but we are not. We are born and must accept Jesus Christ as our savior and lord to be reborn as one of Jesus' own. We have the hope of becoming perfect or at least acceptable in God's sight by following Jesus' example and God's commandments.

Blessings, Fortuna

Sin is anything that is not compatible with the Holy Standard of God.

Basically, all sin can fall under the "categories" of The Ten Commandments.

When God created us....
He gave us free will.

He did not want us to be robots...
loving Him, because we were programmed to love Him.

We are free to love Him.
Free to obey Him.
Free to disobey.

So...in the Garden, the first man and woman disobeyed...and sin entered the World.

And...all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.

That's you.
That's me.

What is sin
Abusing something. Taking something good, and using it in some way that is not good.

or alternatively:
Failing to live up to being the image of God.

and how is it possible for it to exist if we all came from a perfect God?
God wants us to make good choices. For that to be possible he as to take the risk that we will make bad choices.

what is sin,? sin is what we do that seperates us, from God. Those things enclude the 10 commandments. But are summed up in
The Great Commandment
One of the scribes, when he came forward and heard them disputing and saw how well he had answered them, asked him, "Which is the first of a1l the commandments?" Jesus replied, "The first is this: 'Hear O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with al1 your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." The scribe said to him, "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, 'He is One and there is no other than he.' And 'to love him with your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself' is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." And when Jesus saw that [he] answered with understanding, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And no one had the courage to ask him any more questions.
(Mark 12:28-34)

this is done, by thought (wishing harm to other) word (speaking unseamingly against God or in a manner that harms another person) and Deed (phyiscally harming another person) [(examples)]

how does it exist ? because God Gave us free will. A choice to do a God calls us or to do anything but what God would have us do.

if we came from?? I have to say, that although science tries to say tha we do not, I BELIEVE we did come from GOD.

GOD is the creator, author of all life.

How is not a question I tend to not to be able answer because ... I believe that the explination in the Holy Scriptures (Bible) are simple explaniations that were given to a people (the Hebrew peoples) at a time that was much simplier. We as the human race have gained a great deal of knowledge since the creation of the the earth (and universe) and since the writing of the Holy Scriptures. Just as we in elementry school science says the ocean is salt water, in middle school, we are taught it is H-2-0 and saline, in college we might learn the percentage of each to make ocean salt waters, and that there are also other chemicles within that body of water. I ecept by faith that all are corrrect, at a given age. Tomorrow I may also learn that there is a new chemical that was not on the periodic table last year... I know since I was in HS more chemicals have been added.

I hope that this has answered your question.

Sin is literally missing the mark. The Greek word carries with it the picture of an archer shooting an arrow and completely missing the mark of the target. Sin is falling short.

Sin exists because God gave us free will. We get to choose eveyday all day how we will live and act and behave. Either according to God's word or not.

Sin is separation from God.

The wages of sin is death.

Jesus took on the sins of the world (both before and after his earthly lifetime) and died in our place.

He rose again, conquering death.

Our sins are forgiven, not by death (because Jesus has already paid the price in full) but by confessing our sins (saying sorry to God) and repenting (promising to do a better job and meaning it).

When our sins are forgiven, there are no longer any barriers between us and God and we are able to have a right relationship with him.

The angels were sealed in their faith, they could not turn away from it.

Adam and Eve were not sealed in their faith and are one of a small handful of people ever created that had true FREE WILL (the will to choose the holy things from the unholy).

Adam and Eve choose the unholy and were punished. They were created good and holy but were given the opportunity to choose.

From their choice, we are all born in the likeness of the unholy Adam and Eve. We are now sealed with sin from conception to death.

Proof that we are all sinners can be found in the fact that we all die. Only the sinless are able to cheat death. This is why Jesus had to come to earth in the form of a man, to save us from the consiquence of our sinful condition. We will still die, but we will not inherit what is due to the sinner ... that is eternal hell. Rather we will inherit eternal life.

Well we did not "Come From" we were "made by".

And Sin, is just defacing our body and soul.

God, gave us the ability to make a choice, and simply because God is perfect (Which I am sure, this might bring up an immutable Perfection issue), this does not mean that God made us Perfect.

In a way, you may say, God did not bestow his perfection onto his Creation.

In short, the Creation can always be less then Creator, but not Greater then.

and it is "God by definition is perfect", it is not "God is perfect by our definition"

I hope I have Answered this Question for you.

God Bless

Romans 14:23
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

We didn't come FROM God, He created us in His image, we were NEVER the EXACT representation of His being. That title is reserved for Jesus! :D

Hebrews 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
