My name, Deborah - means "Bee" and also means Seeking - which makes sense, right, since bees seek out flowers? And 1 just means one. I am like that, too. I am always seeking answers to things.

Pearls, comes from my first name, Rita, that means, “God’s Pearl or Pearl of Great Price.”

Wisdom, comes from the Book of Proverbs that says,
“Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom
And in all your getting, get understanding,
Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
She will place on your head an ornament of grace.
A crown of glory she will deliver to you.”

The acronymn of my username is POW! And when I pray, for I am an intercessor, I am believing for an explosion in the Spirit, that my prayers will come in alignment with the Holy Spirit, where He will loose angels to do God’s bidding for many battles to be won for the Kingdom of God, with Jesus as Captain of the Hosts.

I was once told in prophetic ministry that the Lord said I wore a pearl necklace around my neck, and the pearls represented wisdom.

Also, Jesus is the Pearl of Great Price. Jesus is the precious gem that is set apart from the rest. Jesus overcame affliction and suffering. He overcame death. He is our example. He is worth everything. And He is my friend, and I desire to be more like HIM.

It started with a Sunday school class in June when I was quite young. The lesson was on Noah and how he built the ark and it rained for 40 days and nights.

Sixty days later I was on my way home from summer holidays and realized that it had actually been raining 60 days and nights. I was convinced that I had missed the boat.

I cried until I got to Sunday school to hear the rest of the story.

From there, rainbows were special to me and eventually grew into promises.

I wanted something different from my comedykidwon or comedykidtoo that I've used on other boards. Since that was the hobby I was putting the most time in with, I chose that. I figured no one else would have it!!!

My name is edie and my maiden name starts with a B. When I was in high school my friends ran my name together edieb. Eventually I shortened it to edb. The 19 is for Steve Yzerman's number and the 17 is for Brett Hull's number (when he played for the Red Wings).

One thing that often makes me chuckle - I regularly sign my posts with my real name but peopel will still refer to me as edb19. I see that with other folks too.

It has to do with what I have learned about my heritage in the past few years, and how I aply it to motherhood now.

I've been digging for information on my family over the past few years, and found myself constantly wondering at how my great grandmothers handled the things we don't even dream of nowadays (one lost 3 of her 5 children to TB in two years time.....my grandmother was one of the 2 that survived). My other great grandmother lost her husband with 7 kids to raise. She herself knew she was dying a couple of years later. Her youngest was only about 5 years old...how did she face knowing what was happening. (6 of those kids survived. 2 were taken in by family, 4 were sent to an orphanage...including my grandfather....and sold as farmhands into Southern Minnesota, 1 no one knows what happened)

I came to this conclusion. There is only one way to face the fears mother's can barely stand to think of when it comes to their children. No matter if those fears are in our deepest parts of our hearts or becoming reality, the courage of motherhood comes from faith.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the epitomy of that, in her willingness to accept all that God asked of her, and she is my final heritage mom.....the heritage of my faith.

Faithmom. It gives me strength.
